Ethan Allen Hotel

Been going to this Hotel over several years. Within the past year, the Hotel has really gone done. I fully concur with many other recent reviews regarding the upkeep and cleanliness of the rooms. And please note that I rarely write reviews; but, the apparent decline of this Hotel is so dramatic, potential guests of this Hotel should be better informed of recent issues with the Ethan Allen Hotel. Have gone to Hotel twice within the past 6 weeks. On both occasions rooms were not not made by housekeeping when requested (note: both times went to front desk and requested housekeeping provide fresh towels, and both times, request was ignored). The carpeting is stained along with the small couch and chair in the different rooms assigned. Desk in room was "mauled" with the exposed wood splintering; both bath towels provided were stained; TV in one room did not work; refrigerator in room looked liked it was tossed around being scrapped and dented. Further, hall carpeting was beyond stained; ripped, pieces gone and simply smelled bad. Used glasses littered the Hall with half-eaten meals on the Hall floor. On one particular Friday check-in, there was a wedding party also checking in around 4pm. Instead of having at least two front desk people assisting, there was only one person, who was overwhelmed. Took 25 minutes of standing in line to get a room key. I would have been really upset if this was my wedding party having to wait that long because the Hotel did not have enough common sense to see this long line and not provide additional help. It is truly unfortunate that the Hotel has fallen into such disrepair and lacks the basic housekeeping services and cleanliness that once existed. Management/owners should be encouraged to quickly update/renovate/invigorate this Hotel before its complete decline. Until improvements are made, I strongly suggest using another Hotel and spare the disappointment of sleeping at the Ethan Allen Hotel.

Restaurant on property but breakfast doesn’t begin until 730 on weekend limited and much better value could be found in close proximity even coffee cups provided for only one morning for a two day stay. Limited staff which was evident in general cleaniniess of common areas. Bed was comfortable

Rooms are not clean, drains clog and AC very noisy

Friendly staff at checkin and very accommodating. Room is a little dated but clean and good value for the pricepaid

Everything was great at this hotel From the bartender at happy hour to the people at the front deck. Polite and assertive. Got everything i needed

We got here after an 8 hour drive and the room wasn't ready and they had no idea when it was going to be ready. There were 20 people in the same boat. I went up twice to find out and asked for some type of compensation. They couldn't say they could give me anything. I went up a 3rd time and it was ready, after waiting an hour, and no one came into the lobby to announce rooms were ready. I asked for free breakfast for my husband and I and they could only give me 1 free breakfast. Really?!?!?! Oh, and they charge you a $100 security deposit for the room that you will get refunded within 15 days of check out. Well, there are stains all over the couch which I will be taking pictures of. The pool was not open (Memorial Day weekend) and wasn't even in the process of opening~~water was green. Musty smell throughout the hotel. Staff was rude and unaccommodating. I would NOT recommend this hotel.
