"Stopped here for a one nighter on our way south from Calais. 8 hour drive about half way . Easy to find just off the N145 with Secure parking. Inside the whole place was Impressively clean. Reception staff double as bar staff for our evening arrival and pre bed drinks and were very pleasant company. The room was spacious clean and more than suitable . Morning shower was great with lashings of hot water, down to a fine spread of continental breakfast. And on our way. All in all a good stop very reasonably priced at 140. Euro."

" We arrived at the hotel at 6pm after a very tiring journey, having been delayed for 3 hours due to a flat tyre. We were very disappointed at the customer service of their reception which was curt and dismissive in relation to our room and parking arrangements. We did not feel at all welcome. We had asked for a room with garden view but were given a room looking out onto a very unattractive wall with no view. When we explained that we had requested a room with a garden view we were told that there was no possibility of changing rooms as the hotel was full, which was not the case. It took the intervention of the owner for our room to be changed for a garden view, for which were happy to pay a small supplement. The hotel has so much potential and the wine selection and the food in the restaurant was good (although limited due to lack of availability of staff), however our experience was extremely disappointing due to very poor customer service which we have never experienced before over many years of staying at Logis hotels throughout France (4 visited on this holiday in France)."

"The building is lovely, nice and quiet location, parking though 50m away was easy to find and secure. Staff were lovely and very helpful. We only stayed one night as it was a quick visit to sign documents for our house purchase. Which was made all the better by our stay. We complete on Dec 20th so we have already booked for three nights for a bit of a celebration. The room was lovely, well equipped, clean, comfortable, everything you would need in the kitchenette to make a quick travellers dinner. Cant recommend this hotel enough, we cant wait to go back and spend a few more days there and in Aubusson. No critique at all."

"Our overnight stay here could not have been better. We were warmly received by Sara and Serge. We had a lovely large room and Serge cooked a beautiful evening meal despite the drought conditions ruining most of his home grown veg. He also cooked a lovely vegetarian menu for one of us that was the stand out meal of our whole holiday. The house is striking and well preserved."
