There is a locked door inside our room, which we find very concerning and honestly quite creepy. The windows are also restricted with chains, so they cannot be opened properly or fully in case of an emergency The door itself opens very easily from the inside without needing a key, which makes us feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe, especially considering the circumstances There is also a large warning outside stating that if anyone dies, it is not their responsibility. This is extremely alarming and has made us feel even more unsafe staying here We would like this situation to be addressed immediately and would appreciate an explanation regarding the locked door, the restricted windows, and the safety arrangements of the property.

Great for family stop over when arriving to Gatwick airport. Excellent location

The room was great, and more than big enough for our needs. There were a few cobwebs but that’s literally all I can fault with the room. The toilet and shower were immaculate. The breakfast was great value and actually really tasty. The only downsides are the majority of the staff. Except for the lovely lady that checked us in with a smile and a chat the restaurant staff were grump and surly to the point of being rude. Also, my wife asked if we could have some decaffeinated teabags and we were told there are none on the premises. However, just a short time later another lady asked a different member of staff and was very quickly supplied with an unopened box. If she couldn’t be bothered to check, she should have just said so. We would definitely use this hotel again though, as it’s excellent value for money and so convenient for the airport.

Good location for the airport, drinks in the bar are reasonable. It is cheap for the room, you get what you pay for. We had the cheapest room, it was small but the shower was good and fine for half a night sleep before an early flight

Breakfast was not served on 05 Sep. Restaurant was closed on 05 Sep. Both were available for guests attending Marriage and NOT available for inhouse guests. We were asked to go to nearby Pub to have breakfast and dinner. Assistant in restaurant today 06;sep during breakfast was very rude. It was actually done because we were Indians. THIS PROVES ****** AGAINST INDIANS AT UK. I want this to be taken seriously with the appropriate authorities at UK Regards From - Defence War Veteran

Location is good but services alright and the room condition is no good even few sockets still open

The receptionist was very friendly, she upgraded us to a bigger room. The room was clean, I can’t believe for this price the hotel was so nice and convenient

I enjoyed the spa especially- £4 extra per use with swim, but clean and rarer find as price of hotel reasonable. Nice sized room and en suite. Handy kettle with coffee/tea etc. Good amount of free hotel parking and manned reception.

Terrible night before our family holiday to spain, not a wink of sleep, banging all night from other guests. Bed mattresses hard, room very stuffy, no air con. Our family was exhausted for our flight in the morning. Creeking corridors, smelly carpets. Avoid at all costs...

My stay at Europa Gatwick Hotel was disappointing, mainly because important information was not made clear at the time of booking. I was not informed that my room would be located in an annex building next door rather than in the main hotel. More importantly, the annex had no lift. This is something guests should be clearly told before booking, particularly if they have luggage or mobility concerns. The most frustrating part of the stay was the key card. It repeatedly failed to work, and I had to walk back to reception around seven times before the issue was finally resolved. This was extremely inconvenient and should not happen to a paying guest. I understand that problems can occur, but clear information at the time of booking and a properly functioning room key are basic expectations. The hotel needs to improve its transparency about annex rooms and lift access, as well as ensure key cards are working correctly before guests are sent to their rooms.

Very outdated hotel. Looks amazing outside but rooms are dirty, full of spiders and insects. Bunk beds are so creaky. Walls are paper thin so listening to the room full of kids either side isn’t try best. Oh and you may have to plug up the tv yourself

I booked a basic double room in the Lodge. The room was fine at this price point, clean and the bed was comfortable. The reception staff were very helpful and the bar had a good range of food options on the menu. The location is very close to Gatwick Airport, and the hotel had plenty of free parking, just register your number plate at the reception.
