"I recently stayed here with my husband and another couple for a wedding. We had a horrible experience, and I feel it is important to share so that other people don't encounter the same. From the very beginning, Dennis - the proprietor - was very difficult to deal with. He said that they would take 50% of the overall price at the time of booking as a deposit, which we agreed to although it is very unusual. Coming up to the wedding, it was impossible to get him by phone until we used a friend's phone whos number Dennis obviously didn't recognise and therefore answered. We needed to get into the property at 2 to change for the wedding but we were told this wouldn't be possible and so we all had to change in a petrol station. When we arrived, the door was unlocked and the keys were left on the kitchen table. All of these oddities could have been very easily forgotten, if not for the fact that Dennis rang me, clearly intoxicated at 2 in the morning accusing me of trying to scam him. Instead of taking the 50% deposit at the time of booking, he tried to take the whole amount from my personal account and was stopped by BOI365. I had to give him different card details to get him off the phone as he was extremely aggressive and belligerent. I understand the fear of being scammed, but if he was really concerned he should have taken the deposit the month previous as had already been agreed. On top of this then, he also took 100 without ever discussing it with me, and then informed me that THIS was the deposit. I have since received the 100 back thankfully, but this was never part of the agreement. Dennis was an absolute nightmare to deal with and I can safely say I would never ever return to this location because of him. I was so frightened by his erratic behaviour that I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night and we couldn't get out of there fast enough the next morning. I fully expect a barrage of abuse from him on this platform, as I can see he has form when people comment negatively on his customer service, but I request respectfully that you do not contact me by phone again Dennis. I sincerely hope to never hear from you again."
