The January 2025 Yoga Retreat with MaryBeth Yoga to this nature lodge in Playa Chiquita was the perfect way to start the new year! Daily yoga, delicious fresh homemade food by the amazing chef @ TDS, the gorgeous beach across the road, fun optional excursions - it was all just fantastic! Highly recommend it. It’s not luxurious - no AC or TV in bedroom, but it’s the perfect vibe of cozy, rustic & comfortable.

Accommodations were clean, simple, no frills, basic yet comfortable and served our needs beyond measure. Fresh towels everyday and laundry service for a ridiculously low price. The food… OMG SOOOO GOOD. Services on site included massages

I took a trip to the area to scope out for a yoga retreat and was blown away by the location and the hospitality of the resort owners and staff. Whether you’re looking for a vacation spot or a place to host an amazing retreat, I would recommend Tierra de Suenos any day of the week and any time of the year. Five stars over and over and over again.

We stayed at the Lodge in July 2024. This is our second visit to Tierra de Suenos lodge and we were not disappointed. The place is in the forest, it is very peaceful and quite. Monkeys and and other animals walk/climb around the lodge and you can see a lot of them on site. There is a very nice beach only 5 minute walk from the lodge and there are also several restaurants walkable distance. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed the stay and recommend it for nature-loving explorers!

From the moment we stepped on the property for our yoga retreat, we were made to feel at home. The staff at Tierra de Suenos was A+ - they were so helpful! Whatever you needed was taken care of. The food was AMAZING! When you thought you had the best meal you could have had, the next one was equally as good or better - breakfast, lunch & dinner! The fresh vegetables & fruits were so good. The bungalows were very comfortable and were perfect for getting the true jungle experience. Listening to all the jungle noises just relaxed you. The location is perfect - a 5 minute walk to the beach, you can take a tuk tuk or bike to the town, grocery store around the corner and restaurants within walking distance. My experience here was everything I thought it would be and more. Thank you Tierra de Suenos for an amazing week!

You are met with the most friendly and helpful staff possible! The accommodations are very comfortable. I got the best nights sleep there. The food is thoughtfully prepared with the freshest ingredients. The beach is so close you can be there in a few minutes. The landscape and water are beautiful. The people of Costa Rica were so friendly and I felt very safe in the nearby towns. Definitely stay here with a group of friends - your minds and souls will be transformed.

The staff was so genuinely nice. The place was so peaceful, I definitely enjoyed hearing the sound of the jungle( even the howling monkeys). We definitely were able to relax. The yoga class on Sunday with Kirby was great. The breakfast was simple but very good. The front desk was also very helpful with recommendations and helping us getting a taxi.

I came here alone to escape the city and relax in nature. It was the absolute BEST experience. They took such good care of me. The meals were so flavorful, healthy and fresh. They arranged all my excursions and the guides were all amazing. The yoga classes were wonderful. The room was very clean and comfy. I went in January, it was around 75 degrees at night, so comfy without AC. The open air bungalow really allowed me to enjoy being in the jungle. The howler monkeys woke me up 2 nights out of 5. Not bad ;) The only rec I have is to get your own bicycle or ask them to call a different bike place. There are so many options along the road but the one they call on has very unstable bikes with weird handlebars. It worked out but I would've been more comfy on a mountain style bike.

We have been traveling to Costa Rica for many years and this was the first time to the southern Carribean. We stayed at Tierra de Suenos with our two children (8 and 11) and it was a perfect fit for our family. The accommodations were very clean, warm showers which we had not had in over a week, so the kids were very excited, comfortable beds with bug netting (which wasn't really needed when we were here), and nice ceiling fans to keep it cool. The cabins are open air, so we felt like we were living in the jungle, howler monkey and macaw mornings and all (my favorite part about being in Costa Rica). We enjoyed the breakfasts, filtered cold water, and coffee most of the day! The staff was very kind and helped us rent bikes for the few days we were in town. We used the bikes to get to the different beaches and towns close by. There were restaurants and stores close enough to walk to and even the beach just across the road was the best one we found for our family. I only did one yoga class while we were here but next time I would take more! I would highly recommend this Lodge and we will be returning.
