Leaving category 4 Hurricane Helene damaged/ destruction in Steinhatchee, Wakulla Lodge was a brief and beautiful reprieve. I especially appreciated Icy cool marble tile floors after sleeping in a home with no power and no water for several nights. The springs are unique the boat ride ( especially for anyone who is a birder )is amazing and the lodge dining room truly a one of a kind adventure
Chose this hotel over best western. Not much in the area. Hotel staff was friendly and the lobby had a huge area of tables Very comfortable The room was nice and bathroom was large with the best smelling soaps and amenities TV had some issues which hotel staff came to room to fix. I wish hotels would do away with any and all carpeting in the rooms as they are impossible to keep clean There was a hot breakfast buffet
We have been staying at this hotel monthly for about 3 months now and each time we go, we see improvements. It appears they have an owner or manager that actually cares about their guests! The first time we stayed, we had a couple of small complaints and when we filled out the survey as such, we received a reply back. When we went the next month, improvements had been made and again the next. Really want to support this business as they are making notable effort to be a great hotel.
