DDavidTackettTravel+Very clean rooms, safe area both go along way. -Staff was less than friendly on checking in, everyone has a bad day so I’m ok with that. -However she was very adamant about us not having a party in the room, we signed a paper stating we would follow this rule (a middle aged man in a suit doesn’t give party animal vibes). You would figure with this and signs in the hall about keeping noise to a minimum it would be enforced… kids running the halls screaming and nothing was done. - A $100 hold was placed on my card for incidentals over a week ago and still has not been returned. I have traveled for work the past 3 years staying in hotels across the United States and have never seen a rate this high for this long. It doesn’t affect me but it could impact families traveling who are living on a budget.
We usually have good experiences at Marriott properties anywhere in the world. Because I have a disability, I have a small service animal. When we checked in we requested first floor accommodations. They gave a first floor room. The A/C was working, but the unit was so loud, I told my husband, “There is no way we can sleep in here for three nights. Even if they only have two queen beds instead of a king bed on this floor, that would work.” It is my understanding, there were no other rooms available on the ground floor. While I stayed in the first room, my husband checked out some other rooms. The hotel gave a room on the fourth floor. The room was perfect. While unloading our baggage, unbeknownst to us, our dog’s leash fell on the ground. Since we couldn’t find the leash; we ended up buying another. Later on, my husband found the leash on the lobby counter! The next day we get a call from the front desk saying we need to pay an extra $60 pet cleaning fee. I went to the front desk and explained that my dog is a service animal, & according to the ADA (American Disabilities Act), it is illegal to charge a pet cleaning fee. Mr. Bill said it didn’t matter. He said, “There are rooms on the first floor specifically for service animals.” When I explained that we requested a room on the first floor and the one given had an a/c unit that sounded like a jet engine about to take off, & that we couldn’t stay in that room, he said, “It does not not matter.” They were still going to charge the $60 pet cleaning fee. The one bright note is that when I brought my dog back inside after going potty, Shanika (sp.?) saw us, recognized the leash, and exclaimed, “You got your leash!” I am grateful for Shanika finding the leash and taking it to the lobby.
JJupiterThis hotel is big one side is super 8 and the other side is the Baymont it's all connected into one big building so it's like a big maze that you have to walk through to get to your rooms or take the elevator I like that there are several different entrants and exits in this building so if you're not parked directly on one side and have to park say in the back you're able to go right out the back check in and check out process was fairly simple very polite for the couple of front desk people that we had dealt with the beds we're big and fairly comfortable so no complaints really in that aspect I like the extra space in our rooms and I really like the cabinetry so you can definitely put your luggage away or if you want to put your clothes in the drawers or closet so that way you don't have your stuff on your way it definitely gives you that option to do so. Each time I've stayed here our rooms came equipped with a mini fridge and microwave and a coffee maker even though we didn't use the coffee maker so I can't really give you a good review on that aspect only as per the fact that there was one located and ours had its own little coffee station type nook in the wall which was cute bathroom was spacious I don't believe the hair dryer worked in one of our rooms or was maybe not even there I'm not sure I can't remember the hotel was fairly clean for the most part I didn't have any issues with any of my rooms didn't see any noticeable damage all in all I'd say this hotel is definitely an 8 out of 10 didn't have a pool and if it did it was definitely not in order I don't think the workout room or anything like that was working either if they did have one so I was just a basic stay sleep and do what you got to do you are in a cul-de-sac so to speak almost like an industrial cul-de-sac but it's a hotel called a sex so you're right off the highway which is a plus and convenient down that called a sac road there are a couple restaurants or eateries nearby so even in walking distance however if you wanted something other than the handful of options that were down in the hotel cul-de-sac you could drive and wouldn't take you more than maybe 7:00 to 12 minutes tops to get to the closest Royal area to be able to go to any gas stations convenience stores or any other eateries so location was definitely a plus for this Hotel! I would recommend this hotel to anybody traveling maybe for business or just need a quick stay they don't have continental breakfast I believe what it's called as a complimentary breakfast where you just get two little choices of juice that tasted a little odd to me or watered down out of a machine I think they gave you like a banana and an orange or something in a fruit basket to choose from a bagel maybe some bread to toast or something or a pastry of some sort and there was two options of cereal I believe so nothing fancy nothing great breakfast really wasn't that fantastic I would recommend that the Baymont and the super 8 since they are joined together should really think about upgrading their breakfast to something a little bit better like the waffle maker you know maybe something hot I better selections and I could turn my review into at least a 9 out of 10 if not a 10 out of 10 because honestly having that breakfast makes the hotel sometimes and being a conjoined Hotel there should be no reason why they can't afford to throw in since they both share the same lobby slash diner area!
Very dirty, no cleanliness. Chair in the room had full of disgusting white patches. Advertised as full continental breakfast which was a joke. When asked about that, the receptionist gave a mild sarcastic laugh. Seems like there is no cleaning staff, night receptionist who lives in that hotel double up as room cleaner in the day, that explains the state of cleanliness. Slices of plain white bread, small packets of spreads, cereal and coffee. But they advertise as continental full breakfast.
MMarie MThis is not the first time I have stayed at this hotel. I was impressed before (that is what made me come back) but I was even more impressed this last stay. My boys and I and 32 of our friends stayed New Years Eve night and it was a BLAST! There was so much to do (swimming, hot tub, ping pong, arcade, putt-putt, and MORE)! Also, the staff was amazing (kind and hard working) and they had security walking around. I personally worked with Eddie to set this event up and he was so easy to work with. Thank you so much for a New Years Eve night my kids will remember!
Clean, comfortable, convenient value. I was traveling and wanted an affordable overnight stay. Had a good sleep here, and enjoyed a quick breakfast (eggs, sausage, coffee and toast) at 6 am before hitting the road again. Would stay again.
