The good - Charming hotel, Cute rooms, great location. Lovely greeting with wine and late night cookies. The bad- HOWEVER … We had two rooms and all of us had heavy congestion, itchy eyes , scratchy hoarse throats. They need to do a mold inspection and change the AC/Heater filters asap. Deep cleaning and new mattress also. Maybe then I would raise my review.

Hello everyone, I just want to write about a horrible experience I had last night. I booked a room through Snap Travel at the downtown SLO Inn. Shortly after settling in my room I noticed that the place was being used as a homeless shelter. When a homeless person started bothering by approaching my door and asking me for money, I decided I was gonna cancel my stay and ask for my money back. The owner flat out refused. I had told him I did not want to stay at a place being used as a shelter. At that point he came outside and started yelling profanities at me. He then began inciting the tenants by telling them that I was talking bad about the tenants. I then was surrounded by several aggressive tenants while the owner continued to incite them. At that point he had my key and was refusing to give it back so I can get my stuff and leave. He refused while using profanities and threatening to use a bat on me. I finally was able to escape the mob and another tenant loaned me his phone so I could call the police. During the scuffle my hand was broken. I ended up going to the ER. I contacted he mayor about the incident. The ironic thing was that the owner was mocking me for actually being a tourist. Apparently the city or state that pays him to house the homeless pays a lot more than tourists do
