My sister and I stayed at two different inns on our trip last week, but this is the one we will return to! Hands down, a gorgeous, clean, comfortable, quiet, affordable, and friendly inn convenient to all the sites to see and experience in Amish country, PA! The innkeepers, Becky, Barbara and Eli are a delight! The baked oatmeal at breakfast was over-the-top delicious! Actually, if you just want a little R&R, you would never even have to leave the property. We so enjoyed evening strolls in back of the inn to see the farm animals and sit around the campfire. The place is photogenic wherever you look!
We stayed here on our way home from Philadelphia because we wanted to go to Shady Maple Smorgasbord. It was just a few miles away. The front desk staff was very nice & personable. Had an accessible room which had a tub, shower chair, higher toilet, & grab bars all around tub & toilet. Very nice. Bed was comfortable. Their complimentary breakfast was good & very clean & well set up. Good variety & nice size room to eat in. My only complaint was no room with roll in shower which is so much easier with our mobility issues. In talking with front desk I found out there is only one accessible room in this inn of 69 rooms which to me is not acceptable. They r in middle of being bought out & were to have renovations done so it would be nice to have more accessible rooms added. We would definitely stay here again when in the area. No pool or hot tub but it was not deal breaker.
We had stayed in King room before but this time we had our son with us. My husband requested a room with 2 Queen beds as stated on their website and our receipt. Lo and behold when I laid on the bed I noticed my husband was really close. Hmm...with measurements taken and confirmed by Google, my imagination was off and yes, the beds are full sized. When my husband went to remind them that he had reserved a room with 2 queens, he was told, ”they are standard beds” and he replied ”yes, full beds”. He was told except for the king rooms all the rooms had the same size beds. I'm glad I am a bitty person because otherwise my son would be sleeping on the floor. The room is very clean just like last time. Don't recommend for larger sizes.
Great hotel great find. While it may not be a 5-star luxury hotel it is a 5-star hotel. Never seen a hotel so clean and so quiet. The pool area was heated and clean with towels, the continental breakfast was a step above that. Everything is restocked hot and kept clean. Even the 24-hour coffee was actually hot all the time. We requested early room service because we had a wedding and they came through. The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable we asked in advance for extra pillows and towels and they were on top of it. There was just nothing to complain about. I think it all started at check-in with the front office manager David Pugh, I do not often mention names but he deserves it. He was on top of everything and met all our needs. The Comfort Inn better hang on to him. All the staff that we dealt with were very kind and professional. The location is not bad either, there are restaurants close by along with a supermarket and Wawa. And many area attractions Also it is not that far of a ride to get into the heart of Lancaster. I would without hesitation stay here again if we needed to be in the area. Thank you Comfort Inn for this find.
Nnewname2345We just arrived back home from the hotel and although it is a very clean hotel there are a few things that have us saying one and done. This was our first time staying at this hotel we normally stay up the street away from the over pass but we figured why not try this hotel. This has to be the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Not the hotel but the traffic, what I did not know was the over pass was right next to the hotel I thought when others said it was noisy that it was from the road in front of the hotel. Thats not the issue its the tractor trailers running right next door to the hotel over the over pass all night long and during the day I swear as soon as they hit the bridge they had to shift gears to get over it. We were on the 3rd floor and although pot is not legal in pa there was most certainly someone smoking pot. Every day you could smell it. I told the girl at the front desk and she said maintenance was staying on the third floor doing work? Either way it was pretty over powering every day except the day after I said something to the main desk. The beds are a tad hard but after a few days you get used to them. Breakfast, go out for breakfast not much to pick from. Biggest issue is you can not make a left turn out of the parking lot you must go to the right and turn around in walmart if you want to go left and if your going to the outlets they are all to the left. One perk is that there is a walmart if you forget something within 3 minutes of the hotel. The price is more then fair but other then that we go to to lancaster at least once a year this hotel will not be on our list of places to stay.
We stayed 1 night after seeing a show at Sight & Sound. I was nervous because of some of the reviews. However, I was satisfied with the room and amenities. The bed was comfortable and air conditioning worked well. The microwave and fridge were appreciated in this older, lower tier establishment. The cleaning was just ok, but what was overlooked isn’t worth mentioning. I’d stay here again if the price was better than my normal choices.
Mark said this place was nice - I give it a nice 5 stars - I made some nice friends while we went to see Moses :) Saw my relatives and to the RR Museum - to Goods where I bought a pair of Binoculars and saw Enoch and Don/Lynne for breakfast :) I will come back here - very nice place and I made some new friends :) Sue Anne and Mark Rush
