We have stayed at this Fairfield several times. From desk staff pleasant and helpful. Rates are reasonable considering proximity to NYC. Room was clean and everything functioned (microwave, coffee maker, mini-fridge). Beds very comfortable. There was a good variety of breakfast offerings, just wish there was a waffle maker. Breakfast crowds depend largely on whether a school group is staying there. Breakfast staff kept things stocked as best they could. Wish there was a waffle maker, but that probably would have slowed things down considerably at the buffet. Very conveniently located on the NJ Transit bus line into the city, schedule and easy to read directions available at the front desk. Bus info needs to be updated with changed fares. Would stay here again.
I recently stayed at the Residence Inn East Rutherford and was thoroughly impressed by the service provided by Camille and Anna during breakfast. They were both incredibly friendly, attentive, and handled a large crowd of guests with ease, making sure everyone was taken care of. The continental breakfast they served was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of fresh options to choose from. Despite the busy morning, they remained calm and efficient, ensuring everything was stocked and everyone had what they needed. It was clear that they genuinely care about providing excellent service. I left the breakfast area feeling well-fed and very happy with my experience. Huge thanks to Camille and Anna for making my stay even more enjoyable!
Positives with this hotel: 1) Well designed rooms that were very modern and clean 2) Late hours for indoor saltwater pool (until 10 pm) 3) Proximity to places to eat and things to do 4) Sofa bed had reasonable comfort (wouldn't want to sleep there for a week, but for one night, it was better than most sofa beds) 5) Courteous, empowered staff Things to improve: 1) Sound proofing with other rooms could be better -- we were able to hear voices (and, at times, shouting) at night in adjacent rooms
