Against my better judgement, I decided to come back to this hotel because it’s close to my son and, after my review from December 2022, the manager (sorry but I cannot recall his name) promised to give them a second chance. This year, both doors were closed to keep the cold air out, four clean floor mats and Christmas music warmly welcoming me. The fireplace wasn’t on the entire stay, the doors on both sides open. Same as December 2022. Why have a fireplace if you’re not going to use it, especially during the holidays. The front desk employee on Christmas day was very friendly however, please make guests feel the Christmas spirit-music, fireplace, anything to make the lobby festive. On arrival day, I received a text at 1:50pm from Miranda (didn’t give her job title) asking “how is everything in your room”. When I got to my room at 8:30pm I texted her everything I found with photos. She did not reply to any of my issues but Joshua (did not identify job title) said “we are sorry for that would you like more towels or anything?” Every Hampton Inn my husband and I have stayed in for more than one day has provided four bath towels. Same as last year, no “easy chair with ottoman” as mentioned on website, yet in the corner a floor lamp. Space is empty, which indicates a chair must have been there at some point. This was mentioned on Trip Advisor in September 2023. No luggage rack, a wall switch that I curiously asked Miranda what it was for-no reply. Found two hairs in my bed, and I texted a photo. No response. The bathroom ceiling peeling Elite Hospitality Group is letting this hotel not live up to the Hilton standard, and neither doesn’t read guest surveys or reviews. Managers and employees can only convey what guests are saying. The rest is up to Basil Bacall and his team to make the traveler want to return. For me, I won’t be back when visiting my son.
I went with my family (spouse, two minor children) following an outdoor event in the area. It was an extremely hot day and we'd been talking about the pool all day with our kids. While at the pool, a group of teenage baseball players arrived. They proceeded to take over the pool area by throwing a ball from the hot tub to the shallow end of the pool. After half an hour. an adult showed up to sit with them. Fifteen minutes later, unprovoked, this 300 pound man began screaming at my family that we weren't allowing his kids full access to the pool. I explained that my minor child was learning to swim and we weren't comfortable with him being in the deeper end. The man then mocked my child in front of him for not knowing how to swim. He continued to scream and went to the front desk. The young woman at the desk was completely unequipped to deal with this situation and suggested I ”ignore it”. She said she'd need to call her manager (never heard more about this, I assume she couldn't reach the manager) but was wholly unwilling to address this aggressive man in their facility. I told her that if my minor child was unable to safely swim in their facility, I wouldn't be staying there and requested a refund. She told me my credit card hadn't been charged (this was false, I saw on my statement that it was and a refund was requested). We are IHG members and I asked that she assist me with finding another Holiday Inn in the area with availability. She said she would have to call an 800 number and then didn't (not interested enough to follow through). My child was crying at the front desk and saying he didn't need to use the pool; she did not acknowledge him as she seemed scared of the loud angry man. We ended up leaving and went to another chain in the area. Will never stay at this facility again as they clearly are not equipped to manage their facilities safely for families.

I had a wonderful experience with the Hilton Garden Inn. I came for a conference and needed some accommodations as a nursing mother who needed space to pump several times throughout the day. Ms. Jess at the front desk was an absolute angel. She helped facilitate some exchanges of materials while I was in the conference to my childcare providers, and always greeted us with a smile and positivity. Thank you!
