We booked this resort through RCIs website since it had a crown listing (cannot remember silver or gold). After months of anticipation and excitement for this trip, we entered our room and had immediate questions over the last time it was updated and tended to. While the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, and the smaller (b) unit was overall nice, the larger (a) unit was filthy. There were splatters of what we hope was pasta sauce on the walls in the dining room and behind the curtain for the sliding glass door. The ceiling fan had thick dust on the blades that was visible even while the fan was on, and the cabinets really could’ve used a cleaning as crumbs were in them. The living room area had carpet that left the bottoms of our feet black and the furniture had stains all over the side. Our outdoor furniture was broken, and the garage entrance door did not open fully. The Raintree unit we stayed in at this resort is extremely outdated; however, there is a difference between old and dirty. Had this older style unit been properly maintained the overall experience with the room would not have been as disappointing. When expressing this concern to staff (who work for Worldmark Wyndham) they were so understanding and kind. They were always there when we needed something, and faced any question, concern, or problem professionally. Their landscaping crew was incredible as the grounds were so well maintained. Other staff working around the resort were also extremely helpful. It is critical to know when staying at this resort that there are currently two operating companies, Worldmark/ Wyndham and Raintree. I would avoid Raintree at all costs.
Stay away from this hotel!!!! We booked this hotel for our last stop after a long road trip, hoping to relax and enjoy. The pictures online all looked so great and very modern. Sadly they are deceptive. We traveled a lot with our kids and they are always fine with sleeping on a sofa bed, the sofa bed here has no insulation or sponge at all! So your body will sleep on a box of metal spring! Our kids refused to sleep on it, so I did. Boy I regret that decision immediately. I couldn't sleep all night and woke up with painful back. We felt like sleeping in an old motel instead of a 3 stars hotel. Even the 2 stars hotel we stayed in before was better than this place. Old popcorn ceiling allover, it's fan makes very loud noise, we had a hard time sleeping. Bathroom is very basic and old. The hallway carpet was dirty all the time. And the worst of it all, their ventilation has MOLD allover!!! Fortunately we came here during spring so we didn't turn on the fan. Staying here is way overpriced, so not worth it. I should have read all those negative reviews here before I booked. Lesson learned.
Find us in Cathedral City, in the Coachella Valley and a 15-minute drive from downtown Palm Springs. We’re within a few miles of many of the areas golf courses and 15 minutes from the Indian Canyons. The Palm Spring Aerial Tramway is 25 minutes away. Take a dip in our outdoor pool with views of the San Jacinto Mountains.
