The whole trip was not very satisfying. First, the seaplane time I requested is at noon on the 22nd, so that I can have a half-day tour of Male. As a result, I was arranged for an early morning seaplane. The hotel said that because the time of the seaplane is not under their control, and the time of the next day's seaplane will only be known after 6pm before 1 day .Second, I don’t know whether the lock of my luggage was broken by the seaplane staff or the resort staff. Anyway, the lock on my luggage was completely missing between the seaplane and check in the resort. Third. neither the birthday room decorations nor the cake that was promised to me was delivered. I was sick that day, so I didn't remind or ask, but I think the hotel completely forgot, which is a big mistake. Fourth, I told that I am sick and uncomfortable, can I ask for some hot soup for breakfast? The front desk said that there is no way, you only can eat whatever the kitchen prepares, which I can understand, But the front desk didn't even have a word of concern and greeting! I feel so indifferent!
I was very happy to choose you as my first vacation after the covid ,but now I feel that this is a complete mistake.
After a long list of resort we choose the best one. Sun Siyam iruveli is indeed a great property to have a luxury and comfortable beach vacation. This was our second time in Maldives but this time it was much more fun and relaxing. The rooms are very very clean and comfortable with private pool and quick access to the beach. The food, entertainment and staff are remarkable. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Since this resort is far from the main city you can enjoy the pure beauty of nature with white sand and blue ocean which was a great experience for us. We stayed in 3 category rooms. 1. Beach pool villa - All villas comes with a private pool. The rooms are great and huge bathroom area. 2. Ocean villa with pool - We stayed on the sunset side ocean villa and sunset view is really good. But for snorkling there are very less corals and you don’t see much marine creatures there. 3. Dolphin ocean villa with pool - The room was great. It comes with a sunrise view. This was the best room we stayed. For snorkling, these rooms are the best. You can just jump into the ocean from your room and have a great snorkling experience. We saw some dolphins in the morning. So many variety of fishes and corals there. We did a nurse shark snorkling and the guides were very helpful. They even helped our 5 year old son to experience the snorkling in the ocean. Nerny was very friendly and helped us to have a great stay without any issues and addressed all our concerns in no time. All chefs showed us great hospitality and made delicious veg dishes. As we are vegetarian, the options were quite good and tasty. We even had golgappa one day during our stay. One suggestion is to make the buggy service more accessible. Overall we had a lovely time with iruveli.
Where to begin.....wow! The Resort The resort is as close to paradise as one could desire. Lush foliage in the heart of the island and white coral sand beaches on every shoreline. Regular fogging means very few mosquitos. A simple single pathway around the resort gives every villa privacy and easy access to all amenities. Most of the services are located on one side (west) of the resort so the footfall may seem large for such a small island. Sunsets to die for are of course a big pull to the Pool Bar area come early evening. The house reef here is the best we have found and Baglioni need to shout about it a lot more. Every shore had a plethora of brightly coloured marine life and it is easy to spot infant reef sharks, sting rays, eagle rays, sea turtles and those who scuba dive will undoubtedly enjoy the short walk (5m) from shore to see healthy coral at the drop off. Snorkelling gear is provided and guidance on hand from the dive centre as to where to go to see the reef. Great activity if it rains, after all, you'll be wet anyway!! The main pool is relatively busy as the Pool Bar feeds and waters its visitors all day long. The staff and very attentive and always more than happy to help and keep you hydrated/quenched/tipsy/drunk. Note it is a family friendly resort, so the main pool is also a hive for busy kids frolicking in the pool. If you like peace and quiet, you might be better relaxing by your villa or on the beach. The Spa is as expected, relaxing, great service and great treatments on offer including couples massages and spiritual treatments. Prices are atypical of Maldives resorts, being quite high, but when on a desert island, it seems rude not to indulge. Evening entertainment was centred round the Pool bar with activities every evening ranging from Karaoke, native Maldivian music, resident singer and the usual background music. Something to have in the background to enjoy a few relaxing drinks and digest another evening o wonderful food and drink. Accommodation We stayed in Villa 242, the very last Pool Water Villa on the sunrise side. Far from the crowds and as peaceful and secluded as one would ever need. Bit of a walk to and from the island itself but well worth it. The complimentary buggy transfer service came in handy. The villa was plenty large enough indoors with the added perk of a dedicated area for clothing and luggage storage. Large comfortable bed, linen changed every other day, twice daily housekeeping service including fresh towels, robes and quite often spectacular towel art!! (Johirul deserves a mention for his constant smile and thorough approach). Good sized bathroom with double basins, walk in shower and ocean view bathtub. Clean, spacious and well presented. Minibar refreshed daily with ½ bottle of white & red wines, 4 beers (2 Carlsberg, 2 Heineken), soft drinks (Coca Cola, Sprite & Tango), coffee pod machine and kettle for tea and a few snacks. Outside space was plentiful with seating and table, two sun l
