My recent stay at Malahini Kuda Bandos left me quite disappointed due to various service issues, particularly in the dining and housekeeping departments. Starting with the restaurant service, it was very poor. There didn’t seem to be enough waitstaff, as they were mostly occupied clearing empty tables rather than assisting guests. We often found ourselves having to get up to fetch basic necessities like cutlery, and even a highchair for our infant, on our own. Yet, despite the lack of assistance, waitstaff were always quick to inform us when the restaurant was closing. Additionally, requesting items to be delivered to our room took almost an hour each time, which was very frustrating. On Friday, we left for breakfast around 9:00 am and placed the “clean our room” sign on our door. When we returned at 11:30 am, our room was still not serviced. During the evening turndown, the room’s patio wasn’t cleaned either, and the trash was left as it was. One particular incident stood out when I requested a paracetamol tablet. The receptionist assured us the medicine would be sent up shortly, but after 30 minutes we called back, only to be told that the resort nurse was not answering the phone. Fortunately, a receptionist named Damiri (I hope I’ve got her name right) went out of her way to help. She brought us paracetamol tablets from her personal supply, which was a lifesaver in that moment. Damiri was a true example of customer service with heart and deserves recognition. For the price we paid, the quality of service did not meet expectations. These issues have made us decide not to return, as the experience did not reflect the high standard we expected from the resort.

My wife and I have just returned from an amazing two weeks at this resort and cannot recommend it enough. We had the most wonderful time of our lives. We went with one aim - to relax - and on that it delivered in buckets. The island is a short (but long enough) 15min speed boat from the airport, the transfer being made easy by the staff at the airport. It is unbelievably beautiful, the grounds pristine and the rooms and common places beautifully presented and maintained. All the staff are amazing and work hard to make your stay the best it can be, but we must mention Patrice, our incredible island hostess who looked after us throughout our stay; Elin, Rachelle, Raksha and Haydie who were always happy and helpful; Chef Aamir and his amazing Malai curry; and Sumeda, who persuaded chef Aamir to give us his recipe so I can try and replicate this at home! Our villa was perfect and had everything you could want - toiletries (including sunscreen and insect repellent), flip-flops, sun hats, beach bag - they had literally thought of everything! The resort has three restaurants. All are included in the all-inclusive plan. The main one (Ylang-ylang) has a good selection. There was only one evening we struggled a bit but usually the offering was good. Only Blu, the underwater restaurant, was nice (loved the chicken) and offered a change of scenery, as did Gaadiya 17 food truck, which gave deliciously grilled fish and meat served on the beach. We certainly didn't go hungry during our stay. With a few experiences also included - Tara loved the snorkeling and although unsuccessful the sunset fishing was fun - the whole holiday was a dream come true. If we could, we would be back tomorrow.

Four of us went to celebrate my friend turning 40 years old. She had said the last 2 years she wanted to visit Maldives...and here we are. The team at Sheraton customer service was A-1. They went out their way to make sure you were enjoying yourself. Me and my friend had a beach front double room. Her and her sister shared an overwater bungalo. Free snorkel gear to have in your room. 30 of complimentary kayak or waterboard per day. They also had some other water activities. The grounds were clean, and the rooms were well attended to. I had no complaints. I would suggest doing at least a half board because the food menu prices were a bit higher than expected. Special shoutout to Chef Murugesan for making my friend an excellent dinner at the Sea Salt Restaurant. She is a picky water and couldn't find anything she wanted to eat. He created something special just for her. She left out with the biggest smile. The Sheraton also did a small birthday celebration in her room. I mean they truly made her birthday special. This is my 3rd time at the Maldives and first time at the Sheraton. I would definitely book again.

We have just returned from our honeymoon on this idyllic island. It is literally paradise and I can not recommend it enough. We stayed in a beach bungalow which was absolutely gorgeous. We could see the sea from our window and hear the waves in bed. We did all inclusive and would definitely recommend. Food and drinks were delicious and a huge choice. Staff were lovely. Special sound out to our waiter Nizam who always greeted us with a smile and couldn't do enough for us. Beach barman, Rakesh, was also fantastic. As was all the sand bar staff. We did some great excursions too. But also just spending time on the island watching all the sea life and snorkeling was lovely. If you are thinking about booking to stay here then definitely do it! You will LOVE it

This was a surprise trip for my husband's 50th birthday and we were travelling with my Son Esa aged 8. Once we got to our resort we were greeted and welcomed by Amine and the team. Amine was very welcoming and took us on a buggy around the resort to show us around and escort us to our room. Amine went out his way daily to stay in touch via WhatsApp and kept us updated about all the activities taking place daily. Our room was amazing and we had been upgraded to a beach pool villa:-). The bed was decorated and a welcome card/fruits were placed in our room. The boy's were so excited regarding the private pool. Our resort was amazing and had alot to offer. This resort in particular had a kids club hence why I chose this resort. Guest Relations were amazing and accommodating . Grace also from Guest Relations was very welcoming and came to see us. The restaurant /food was pretty good and had lots of choice. Esa being a child wanted his normal chips/burger or nuggets and was offered this separately which was great. All the restaurant staff was amazing especially Shafiq, Shauka and the team. They all went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and happy. Shafiq had his way of taking care of families and even bringing the yummy special desserts to our table. He would always accommodate us to the best table/view too. Shauka was the head operations manager for all the restaurants and I promise you he was always hands on and ready to serve you in whatever you wanted to eat. He would always go out his way for us especially for my son Esa. Even on the last morning we was leaving he made Esa his favourite waffles :-). Our last dinner was arranged privately by Mr Ejaz (Hotel manager) and Shauka so we can celebrate my husband's 50th. A beautiful table was set on the stilts restaurant with a cake and Shauka personally came to serve us with all the different foods we wanted to eat:-). Absolutely amazing he was. Esa really misses everyone especially Shauka. We had an amazing stay and experience at Villa Nautica. We have already said that we will surely be coming back again and recommending to our family/friends. Small comment regarding the ice cream served at meal times in the restaurant- it was not nice/very poor quality. It was like some powdered ice cream mixed.
