5-Star Hotel Review Our recent stay at this hotel was a mix of highs and lows, with some standout service but a few areas that need improvement. First, I want to highlight the amazing staff at the restaurant and breakfast. Yeta, Spyla, and Konstantina made our dining experiences a joy. They are hardworking, incredibly funny, and always helpful. What really stood out to us was the great relationship they have with each other. You can see that they enjoy working together, and despite being tired, they create a positive and fun atmosphere for guests. Yeta, makes amazing cocktails and always checked if we liked our drinks Andreas from the bar was also fantastic. He seemed to be everywhere—breakfast, dinner, and the bar—and always provided great service with a smile. The room was very comfortable. The housekeeping team did an excellent job, and the ladies were always kind and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. However, the food was a major disappointment. For a 5-star hotel, the quality simply didn’t match. It was cold all the time, which really took away from the overall experience. The reception staff were lovely and very helpful, but they often stayed in the back instead of at the front desk. This meant we had to wait for them to notice us. overall, while the staff were incredible, the food quality is something that the hotel needs to address to truly match its 5-star rating. If the dining experience improves, this would be a perfect getaway.

When we arrived at hotel there was no room available for us. We were put into a temporary room until 5pm on day two, this meant we couldn't settle or unpack. When we finally got our room it was fine, apart from no safe, no drawers. No one from reception indicated that there was a safe in reception. Everywhere was accessed by stairs the very limited lift was no use to us as it only goes to the kitchen or the higher floors. We had to go up and down two flights of steps to go anywhere from our room. When we arrived at the Maritimo Beach hotel I was devastated to find the 'beach' was in fact a concrete dump. The nearest entrance to the sea was the harbour which was accessed by a steep slope and the water covered with an oil deposit. My beach holiday gone. The accessible town was down a steep slope and therefore inaccessible to me to get back up. We were left with very few Tavernas to eat in. Though I might add Amelia's was exceptional thank goodness. Breakfast and service at the hotel were standard although preference was always given to the German clientele. Especially at reception. The hotel was set in stunning gardens which was just as well because for 14 days we were confined there. Laurena and Athenia provided excellent service in the pool bar and stood out amongst the mediocre other staff. I could not get around the big pool, but happily settled for the quieter pool but was fixed by the ladder entrance to the pool which meant I had to rely on others for help. Over all the holiday was not fit for purpose for someone with disabilities. I was very disappointed.
