A colleague and I were in the area on business and he booked rooms for both of us. We arrived just as the kitchen was closing, but check in was very quick and the staff were very accommodating to ensure that we were able to order food, before we went to our rooms to freshen up. We were called to advise that dinner was served and we enjoyed a very nice meal in a lovely (Christmassy) surroundings, and a couple of good local beers. The rooms themselves were well proportioned, very clean and with a brilliant shower and I slept well. We'd ordered breakfast, which consisted of cold and hot options, and which was also served with a smile. Private parking was available, though it was a little tricky to access up a narrow side street with a very sharp turn. Be careful when coming to the hotel, as the road is easy to miss. Overall, our overnight stay was very enjoyable, made better by the above examples of staff being extremely friendly and helpful. If I need a room in the Llandeilo area again, I will not hesitate to stay at The Cawdor.
My stay at The Plough Rhosmaen in Llandeilo, Wales was, simply put, wonderful. I booked the Towy Suite, a spacious and beautifully bright room with plenty of windows. The four-poster bed was luxurious, and I appreciated the comfortable couch, large screen TV, and dining room table that made the suite feel like a home away from home. The bathroom was equally impressive, with a huge shower that added a touch of luxury. Room service was a treat – I received a massive plate of fish and chips paired with a carafe of wine, all of which was delicious. Breakfast the next morning was made-to-order and served in the inn’s dining room, adding a personal touch to the stay. The clientele here is what I would call “respectable,” embodying a refined, traditional Wales charm that enhances the inn’s peaceful, quiet ambiance. The staff’s hospitality was exceptional, and my stay at The Plough Inn was perfect in every way. Highly recommended!
