Stayed here for two nights on a business trip. As previous reviews have stated, the bedrooms need updating but they were still very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the bar was very good with a nice selection of beers and spirits. Staff were very friendly and welcoming especially Bethany and Ek. Would recommend.

We booked here as a half way road trip to Clacton. Ellie was so welcoming and we were even offered a free breakfast due to the room we had booked not being available due to reasons beyond their control. We had requested a ground floor due to one of us being on crutches. There is loads of parking and the hotel is a separate entrance to the main pub. Access to the pub from the hotel is good. We had a double room. Fluffy white towels and tea/coffee facilities. Large TV and black out curtains which was very welcomed as we were tired. I must say this hotel is so fresh and clean and the corridors smell delightful. Our room was cosey, spotless and the beds were so comfy. We booked with *********** and would highly recommend. The pub next door is very reasonable prices We arrived as the England match in the Euros was starting. The garden had a huge screen and appeared very popular. All staff were very polite and nothing was too much trouble. Use the app in the bar and drinks are served to your table. Plenty of screens inside for everyone We would definitely return Thank you Ellie and the team! 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The location for me was perfect as I needed to be close to the hospital. It’s also close to bus stops into the centre and with a car you can reach destinations around the city fast.
The room is as shown in photos and is very well equipped for a hotel of this category. The wine glasses and tumblers chilling in the fridge were welcome! I found the room to be very clean and well kept. There was good storage, plenty of sockets including a couple of USB ports which is handy.The views of the marina were very nice and added character.
The people I met whilst staying were friendly and helpful.
Overall I enjoyed my stay and had two good nights rest. I’d certainly book there again.

Stayed here for two nights on a business trip. As previous reviews have stated, the bedrooms need updating but they were still very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the bar was very good with a nice selection of beers and spirits. Staff were very friendly and welcoming especially Bethany and Ek. Would recommend.
