We are booking for 4 night and first time on Tenerife. We are choosing this hotel on jet2 holiday and don't make any mistake. Place is very good for visiting(only to many hills)good foe exercises. Hotel is good position short walk to beach lovely walk
I believed the reviews of this hotel which was a mistake. This could be a great hotel with a fair bit of work. Making it into an aparthotel would be worthwhile. It does need updating to match 4 star expectations Good points: Views from the hotel are great. Steep walk into the town but nice to do. Courtesy bus is useful. Public transport is quick and cheap Breakfast buffet was good with a decent selection Supermarket is easy to walk to The hotel is clean and problems are rectified quickly. Bad points No soundproofing for rooms, can hear conversations from corridors, rooms above, below and to the side. Loud music was played from rooms. This was not good Terrible mattress on the bed - never come up against such a lumpy, uncomfortable mattress. Dreadful weeks sleep No drink making facilities in the room despite the kitchenette ( which is only equipped if paid for) Unusual to not have toiletry items such as shower caps, tissues, emergency toothbrushes etc in a four star hotel Room in general looked tired - very faded furniture cushions. Woodwork was shabby. Balcony railings were quite badly rusted Adult pool was unheated and icy. It was unusable because it was so cold Gym area exists but there is very little to it - quite disappointed Courtesy bus does not run on Saturday afternoons or Sundays. When it does run the timings can be as much as 20 minutes open - which was a heart stopping moment because it almost made us late for checkout and the airport transfer Given the hotels location at the top of a hill at the top of another steep hill it was surprising there was no shop to buy some essentials - large bottles of drinking water for example. Found one vending machine that did not sell much WiFi was slow - not to the speeds it was suggested to be
This is a really good hotel. The breakfast is fantastic, and we took evening meals as well, when we realised what a bargain they were. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a short walk from the town, an easy flat-ish walk, and near to a lot of interesting places. A lot of Germans choose to stay in this hotel for the winter months, which we saw as a good sign - they expect a lot from holidays. We found them very pleasant and friendly.
we were looking to book a two week stay at catelonia las vegas,we left it to late and booked ”be live orotava” instead, what a surprise, we were greeted at reception by a fun gentleman, we were staying in room 714. 29/10 through 12/11/2024 the room was spacious and kept clean on a daily basis, towels and bedding the same, there was a good selection of food, breakfast and evening meal, all the servers worked very hard, I would like to give our thanks to Jacil and Joana, also the young lady who was at the restaurant where you give your room number, all in all we had a good two weeks, and hope to return soon.It is only the 13th and missing it already.
This hotel has never been a 4 star plus hotel, we went at the end of August the room we was given was low standard, damaged furniture with stains on it that didn’t look pleasent, we payed extra for a more premium room with a balcony to find out every room has a balcony, and the more premium rooms were on floor 6 upwards, we was on floor 3, we went full board the food was average, the beds were comfortable, and the receptionist were really helpful, pillows weren’t comfy at all you, the shower was more like a caravan shower, and the bath you stood in was sinking we thought we was going to fall through it, the hotel from floor 6 onwards may have been ok but from 6 downwards I would not recommend.
I stayed in this hotel for 10 days in mid September with my siblings, my parents, my partner and my toddler. Upon arriving late in the evening we were very grateful to see how spacious, clean and comfortable the rooms are. We slept really well. The one thing to note is that all the beds are singles pushed together which can be an issue if you like to cuddle with your partner to sleep as the beds kept moving apart, but they were very comfortable and we slept well. The rooms are all air conditioned which is very welcome on stickier days. We stayed in a room with a sea view and it was really wonderful to wake up to the view every morning. In the evening there is live music at the bars outside which can be a little loud - if you like to sleep early I recommend ear plugs - however all the music stops by 11pm and we enjoyed many an evening sitting on the balcony and enjoying the music below. I think it's worth noting that if you do have any issues the hotel is very quick to respond. On our first night we noted that the lock on the door did not work, and the seal on the door of the shower was missing. Within half an hour the hotel maintenance had come up to the room to rectify the issues, and they did so quickly. The hotel has WiFi which can be a little patchy at certain times of the day when it is lost used but is otherwise reliable. There is a TV in the rooms with a good selection of channels - I will note that the English channels didn't work and did need reprogramming but it wasn't an issue as as we didn't have time to watch TV anyway! There is a mini fridge in each room which is very handy. There is a charge of €2 a day for personal use which really isn't bad at all. The selection of food available at the hotel is really wonderful. Every night there is a different theme. My favourites were Spanish and canarian nights. But there is so much on offer you should find something for even the pickiest of eaters. Every member of staff working in the restaurant was so friendly and lovely. As there were 7 of us travelling together they reserved a table for us each morning and evening so that we didn't have trouble to eat together. I will however note that one particular member of staff didn't appear to want to accommodate this - a woman with dark hair, glasses and waistcoat and green tie (different levels of staff wore slightly different uniform) for some reason whenever this particular lady was on staff she would remove our reservation. Initially we thought this was a mistake but it happened like clockwork on her shifts and never happened when she wasn't in. I'm not sure why she took issue with our group. She was also quite rude to me one day when I was trying to go to our usual table (which had been dressed for breakfast already) to retrieve the high chair for my son. I tried to explain to her several times I was just going to get the chair but she didn't seem to understand and was insisting on directing me to another area of the restaurant. The re
