We stayed here for three days for our first time in the Galapagos. Tatiana was amazing and was able to accommodate a very early check-in. The accommodations were very clean and well kept. Our room had an ocean view and air conditioning. Nice breakfast every morning on the open air patio and the staff will give you a breakfast to go in case you leave for a tour before breakfast hours. The hotel is steps away from the waterfront and all the shops, restaurants, and sea lions. There are 2 swimming pools if you want to cool off. We left laundry with them in the morning of our first day and it was ready by dinner!
Lovely hotel by the main pier just a ten-minute drive from the airport. We were allocated room 6 on the second floor, the hotel has no lifts so those with walking difficulties may have a problem. The room had two double beds, fridge, microwave, filter coffeemaker although no milk was provided (it could be purchased from the small café, come shop next door, which was part of the hotel) and no kettle. There was a safe, ample wardrobe space, a TV and the room had both air-conditioning and a dehumidifier. The bathroom had a good-sized walk-in shower with toiletries provided. There was a small balcony with table and chairs which looked out over the bay. Breakfast was served on the top floor where there were great views. Breakfast which was served to you consisted off, coffee/tea, juice, toast and eggs however you wanted them. Outside the room was a small water purifier to fill up your water bottles. The owners and staff were all very friendly and helpful.
This hostal is a good 18-minute walk from the malecon and all the restaurants and shops. Wifi was good, the room was clean, and the AC was cold. The communal areas were great, with lots of nice plants, and I would absolutely suggest this location to anyone with a family using multiple rooms. The nice communal areas outside the rooms would also make this a great choice for smokers. My main complaint was that the window curtains to my room (#12) were extremely thin, and the hall light is motion sensitive and comes on all through the night, and the bright light coming in to the room made it difficult to sleep. Also, there's no blanket at all -- only a sheet.
