very disappointing stay at this hotel, we checked in after 8 pm, and we were so tired after driving for 8 hours, came to the hotel for the night, and the picture of the room that was shown on the confirmed booking was of a bigger room with a 2-seater couch and 2 queen beds and this room had a small 1-seater, though we paid for 2 queen beds they looked like double beds. , when we asked the reception they said there were no other rooms and the hotel was full. I showed them the email with the picture. I told the guy it was very misleading...he said there was nothing he could do, our room was on the 2nd floor when you come out of the elevator, you see very dirty old carpets. When we went into the room, the linen/bedding was all crushed, and looked like they forgot to change them. I asked for an extra pillow, as 2 pillows had red stains on them, there was no time to get it all changed, as we had to leave early in the morning after breakfast. we were at the Holiday Inn the next night in Sault St. Marie which had super clean, fresh pillow covers, bedding, etc. Even the Microtel in Sault St. Marie we stayed at the day before, was super clean. so we could feel the difference... really did not expect the Marriot to have dirty bedding. where we paid the highest room rate. It was very disappointing, the picture you see here is what was on the Marriot website with the booking, but was given a very small old room with dirty linen and old dirty carpets. We should have checked the reviews before booking this hotel.

ผผู้เข้าพักTraveling across Canada for a move and when arriving to Thunder Bay we were left with no place to stay. And the few places that was left were way outside our budget or did not accept pets. Reviews were not that great so we were sceptical about this hotel. But we had no choice. We were amazed of the great service we got and room was amazingly big, very clean and no smell at all. You have to take in consideration that this is an old building so you do not get the luxury snd structures if a newly built hotel but for just passing by for an over night sleep, we cannot complain. The only thing that was missing was furniture as we only had two beds and a night stand. Overall we were satisfied and way better then what the bad reviews were saying.
