Hotel location is very close to restaurants and supermarkets. Also, it’s convenient to drive to some famous spots for sightseeing, like museums and the ferry to the Lift Lock. The staffs were very nice and friendly. We were appreciated to have a quiet and comfy room to stay on 3/floor. Since we overlook the breakfast time which ended at 10am and we were late for 5mins, the server was tidying up the food counter. However, she was nice to let us grab some food to eat. To avoid her waiting us to clean up, we ate very quickly and was not able to take pictures. Breakfast was okay with muffins, pancakes, toasts, fried eggs & sausages, fruits, coffee and juice. In short, a good place to recommend.
Beautiful little place in the heart of it all. Close to show venues, a variety of resteraunts nearby. Free parking around corner. Excellent accommodations.. large room, fridge, microwave, jacuzzi tub. Comfortable king size bed and a fireplace. Check in was easy staff was amazing. Complimentary continental breakfast
Greeted by super friendly front desk staff. There is a very large parking lot. We took the lobby elevator to the fourth floor. The desk staff said we were in the quiet area of the hotel. Our room was very large, clean and the king sized bed was super comfortable. In the morning the shower was super hot. Downsides: the in room air conditioner was a bit noisy; and the neighbours tv could be heard faintly through the wall. Breakfast room was a short walk away in a different building but only a few steps away. Breakfast was very simple: an egg patty, a sausage patty (build your own egg mcmuffin); some cold cereal choices; yogurt and fruit. Decent selections but nothing fancy. Friendly staff in the breakfast room too.
Excellent value. My go to spot for when I need to get away from things. Friendly staff and owners. I heard a bit of noise on the balcony from the house and the road a couple times but inside it was always serene. By 6:00pm the road and business were basically empty and it felt like we owned the whole block. Furniture was cozy and they have a really good set up for movies and tv. The food was excellent. They left us the usual juice, fruit, toast, et. We didn't expect the thick slices of pea meal bacon and farm eggs to cook for breakfast were AMAZING! We liked that I could cook it up in the little kitchen there, felt like our own private garden cottage. The place was spotless and everything was set up to make us feel welcome. It was warm enough to leave the big windows open and they have fans and heaters which we haven't had to use yet. There is a big greenhouse in the front and a bunch of gardens in the back with different kinds of plants and sculptures and fountains waiting to be discovered. Nice and quiet in the gardens, with visitors occasionally walking around to see the plants. Not like the busy city gardens. I heard the owner telling a family about the wild frogs that live there. They have a special pet frog in the store as well. We used to use AirBNB a lot and we have stayed in many places in the GTA and on vacations elsewhere. This place is our favourite.
Thought we would save money boy that was a mistake We had a room on the 2nd floor as soon as we walked in you could see it was dirty We scraped soap scum and tooth paste off, sink taps were full of prints and water stains Fridge had spilled juice or something, and no carpet on floors so easy to see never had a broom It a mop on them. Cleaning staff thought it was funny till that saw me there. Front desk apologized and put us in a bottom room. That room was a little cleaner but floor still as dirty and I went and got my own stuff and cleaned that room including some of the wall. All night heard a cricket thought it was outside but found it in our room with fruit flies and some kind of other bug crawling on the floor. We decided to check out and go to the best western (highly recommend)when we were to leave we notice what looked like poop on the comforter parking lot was dirty and outside garbage was overflowing the night before with a full garbage bag beside it and still there the following morning At 10 what a let down this place was
Stayed overnight in April, and I was pleasantly surprised by this budget hotel. I hadn’t booked in advance and was able to get a room by just showing up. Check in took about 5 minutes, plus a 3 minute wait due to the folks ahead of me in line that were already part way through their check in. The room was very clean, the beds were comfy, and we were able to adjust heating and cooling easily. It was very quiet at night, no traffic or people sounds. In the morning, the little continental breakfast was great! Lots of options: yogurt, oatmeal, cream of wheat. boiled eggs, fruits, breads, muffins, English muffins, jams and spreads, two types of sausage, bacon eggs, waffles, coffee, tea, juices and probably other things I’m forgetting. The ambiance isn’t spectacular but I wouldn’t expect that in a budget hotel. Everything was clean and the staff were all really nice. Check out was even faster and easier than check in. Perfect place for a quick overnight stop.
Hotel was good. The gentlemen that greeted us was excellent!! Very knowledgeable about the city and recommended a few places. The sink was clogged in washroom but sent a maintenance person up promptly. The only problem was we found out our door did not lock at all. We didn’t notice until later on our second night. Light bothersome since all our belongings were in there. Told lady when we were checking out and said that was not good but that they were renovating the floor next week.
