The air was crisp, carrying the scent of freshly baked stroopwafels and roasted coffee from the cafés lining the narrow streets. I wandered along the canals, their calm waters reflecting rows of gabled houses in shades of brick and pastel. Cyclists glided past effortlessly, bells chiming as they weaved between tourists and locals. At Dam Square, the hum of street performers mixed with the chatter of people from all over the world. Later, I visited the Anne Frank House, a sobering yet powerful reminder of history, before ending the day with a boat tour at sunset—the city glowing in golden light, bridges lit like necklaces over the shimmering water."

"My husband and I were pleased to return each evening from all our busy day trips to this peaceful and quiet retreat. It seemed relatively new built. A free shuttle brings you from the airport on arrival. We booked uber for our return trip to the airport as the shuttle does not start until 5 am but we had to be at the airport by 4am and had a large suitcase as well. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk to the local train/bus station where we could make our daily excursions from each morning. There is a good network of transport so we had no problems going anywhere. A direct bus takes you to Keukenhof park from the bus station. The rooms are cleaned on request when asked the day before. The staff was mostly helpful and friendly. However, any requests made took time to be heard and considered. I needed to request an extra pillow (otherwise it is only one pillow per person). Despite frequent reminders, there was no success I had to keep using towels or my clothes to raise my head but kept asking and perseverance paid off finally on the third night!!! The breakfast had a lot of vegetarian options (but not halal). I particularly liked their dispensers for fruit jams and condiments etc. The bar is open until 10 pm serving drinks. The hotel was very popular with big groups of tourists as it offers good value for money compared to the very expensive hotels near the central stations. The only drawback is that there is no activity in the Hoofddorp area itself. Overall it was good value for money and a pleasant stay."

"The whole experience was mediocre, the staff tried hard but didn’t seem to be well trained. Food was overpriced, we were charged 2€ each for ‘filtered’ tap water, bread was brought out cold so I had to send it back. It was great to have a play areas but some of the toys were very dirty. There are no cups in the gym, you must bring a water bottle to use the water. The free weights were great but the gym was dirty. The rooms were a good size, beds were comfortable. It seemed clean but given the play area and gym, it caused me to question. We had a good view of the plane landing. It was relatively quiet given proximity to the airport. There is not shampoo or conditioner in the shower, there is a 2 in 1 soap/shampoo and you can ask for conditioner. Check out process was super fast and I give a 5/5. Overall, it was way overpriced, fine to spend the night before our flight but we won’t go back."
