Our second visit and we love so much about the hotel. The location, on the waterfront, is simply perfect, and the sea views are beyond stunning. This time, apart from the huge positives the hotel has, we felt the breakfast experience let it down. Whatever time we went to breakfast, we were faced with the challenge of finding a table that didn't have the previous occupants used crockery on. (Incidentally, it is odd for a 4-star hotel not to be greeted and asked for your room number on arrival at the restaurant - anyone could wander in off the street and have breakfast!) Once you've found a table you then began the quest to get your food (all very nice, especially the new omelette station), however this involved on numerous occasions trying to find coffee cups, juice glasses, spoons, bowls etc. These just aren't kept topped up as you would expect. The juices, as mentioned by previous reviewers, are very watered down, although the orange juice did improve on the last two days. We also felt that the tables next to the window appeared to be nearer together than last year, which lacked privacy. Some seemed very close indeed! We found the staff in the hotel to be generally polite, although one particular lady on reception looked miserable throughout and avoided greeting you as you passed through the foyer. As we checked out, the gentleman on reception was adamant that I owed for the taxi transfer, and I provided evidence that I'd paid it when I made the booking. We tried the Tiha bar directly outside for drinks one evening and again during the afternoon, which was very pleasant, with lovely staff. We love Cavtat and will probably return, but we found the breakfast experience almost stressful and nothing like the chilled out vibe we had come for, which slightly marred our Hotel Cavtat experience.
