110% - above and beyond/cannot recommend highly enough. Stefano speaks first class English and the team went out of the way and succeeded in ensuring I enjoyed my stay here. It has a wonderful clean good sized swimming pool. It was also wonderful to have a large ground floor room with outside seated area. The location is wonderful being between station and main town. There is also good parking right outside the property. Taxis available from train station before 6pm or alternatively easy 20 minute walk. I left on a Sunday so Stefano kindly ran me to the station complimentary as no taxis were available. Castiglione del Lago itself is a small but beautiful town with lakeside areas and you can even rent a boat. There are ferries to the nearby island Isola Maggiore which is wonderful with it's church, history and tourist shops. Great location also for quick and cheap train rides into the nearby town of Cortona and good location for trains to other hill-towns e.g. Orvieto. Breakfast was wonderful- cold meats and cheeses, yoghurts, pastries accompanied by coffee- I enjoyed their cappuccinos and you could even receive a top up for free. I hope that I will be fortunate enough to return one day. Stefano was extremely helpful from the beginning of the booking process to departure at the train station. Grazie mille Stefano and team. Soggiorno di tre notti in mezza pensione con il pacchetto daydreams in occasione dei 50 anni di mia moglie. Posizione veramente buona e strategica. A 10 minuti a piedi dal centro storico di Castiglione del Lago e dal Lago Trasimeno. Parcheggio comodo su stradina adiacente l’albergo. Si è vicini a moltissimi borghi umbri e toscani. La nostra quadrupla ampia. Mobili rinnovati. Bagno un po’ più vecchiotto. Non finestrato ma con buona ventilazione forzata. Gli ambienti non nuovissimi passano in secondo piano di fronte alla eccellente pulizia della stanza e del bagno. Rare volte abbiamo trovato ambienti così puliti. Aprendo l’anta dell’armadio sei colpito da profumo di detersivo. Unica pecca il frigobar che non raffreddava affatto. Ottimo anche il climatizzatore. Letti comodi, persino con il topper anche perché il letto matrimoniale era composto da due lettini. La cena giusta, con prodotti di qualità. Si mangia bene, non molta scelta ma tutto cucinato bene. Colazione anch’essa nella norma, con cornetti piccoli e sempre con le stesse crostata e ciambella. La sala ristorante ampia e pulita. Illuminazione triste, da mensa d’ospedale. Con il pacchetto daydreams va comunque bene. Tenuto conto anche che è un tre stelle. Gestore alla reception molto molto gentile e professionale come anche le cameriere. Hanno meritato anche la mancia per gentilezza ed efficienza. Si sono gentilmente prestate a portarci un pezzetto di crostata con la candeline “50” per il compleanno di mia moglie. Soggiorno molto molto piacevole. Consigliatissimo.
