Lovely spacious room with balcony overlooking the marina! The bathroom was a little outdated with no walk-in shower but only a minor point. This is a very large hotel which is part of the renovated 16th century Citadel and can only be accessed by car through the gates and across the square. Unloading of the car can be done outside and the car then parked in an underground secure car park close by. The hotel cannot be accessed from the car park. However, the help given with luggage by the porter was very much appreciated and delivered to the room. This was reversed when we left with the porter again taking all our luggage from the room to the car parked in front. Reception staff were professional. Servicing the room was quite late but when asked the housekeeping staff did there best to clean the room when we returned in the afternoon - they have a lot of rooms to service! Breakfast was lovely on the roof with great views - we were lucky with weather and we were able to sit outside with our dog every morning! Choices were good, and hot food can be ordered; the staff were cheerful and helpful! We used both pools during our stay and the indoor was small but lovely and the outdoor roof top pool was also OK with loungers. The walk to the outdoor pool was lengthy....the walk anywhere inside the hotel can be long depending on where you are located and you can easily lose your way.......however, we found a quick way to the outside opposite the lovely marina with some very good shops and restaurants! The hotel was also a reasonable 15 minutes walk into the lovely town of Cascais with lots of places to eat and drink and shopping!

Beautiful hotel situated in lovely Cascais, Portugal. Views of the ocean lovely. Enjoyed sitting on our balcony every day. Beds very comfortable, plenty of room. Slept well every night, no noise at all….forgot we were in a hotel. We walked everyday into Cascais from the hotel, which took about 20 minutes. The staff was exceptional especially Laura at the front desk. She went above and beyond to assist us with purchasing our return train tickets from Lisbon to Porto. Breakfast every morning was excellent as well as our lunch salads with a view of the pool and ocean. Had two relaxing massages in spa, excellent. Will definitely return to this hotel without hesitation, can’t wait ❤️
We stayed here for 4 nights and loved every second of it. This hotel was like something out of a Bond film. Every room in the hotel is unique with its own character. We had a room with a sea view (which I highly recommend reserving). The rooms were all charming, large with comfortable beds and amazing views off the (mostly) private patios. The pool was super clean and a nice area to spend time with a drink from the bar. Breakfast every morning was bountiful with fresh pastries, fruits, eggs, juices and coffee. The views from around the restaurant and pool area are the best in Cascais. Walk out the door and you are steps away from the town and some great shops, restaurants and bars. The train stop is also steps away if you want an easy way into Lisbon. We cannot wait to return!
We spent a great time in the hotel. It is very good for families with small children. The hotel was clean, stuff was friendly. Room was also clean and big enough for 2+1 people. The outside pools are good for adults and for children too. There are lot of sun beds, but need to occupy them quite early. There were kid activities during the day, but unfortunately only in English. Non-English speaking children need parents to help in them.
Built originally in 1945 and extended in 1960's. Really different interior. Original blend with modern portugese architecture. Rooms really modern with everything you need. Staff cannot do enough for you. So helpful. Bar food just what you want. Restaurant food was delightful. Really really good chef. Scenery was mind blowing. You have to see the pool to believe what I an saying.
A very special place to stay; combination luxury hotel, art gallery, historical fort. It was a special treat to drive in through the front gate of a fortress to arrive at the door to this hotel. (Although it was confusing that the signage indicated ”Pousada” rather than ”Pestana” which made us wonder if we were at the right place. Staff was excellent; room was beautiful; breakfast was delicious; amenities were perfect. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cascais, especially if they are visiting for the first time. It's a short walk to the centre of town and the wide variety of restaurants, shops and beaches. How often does one get to stay in such a unique setting!!
Vale a pena o investimento!!super recomendo!!
ผผู้เข้าพักExcellent location 4 minutes from beach, 5 minutes from train station. Shopping centre downstairs. Pool available and reasonable breakfast. Rooms a bit old but still ok.
I had the best time here. Spent three nights and i wish i could have stayed much longer. The lovely House in Estoril and its beautiful garden made me feel right at home. Placed a bit uphill with the vibrant sea with it's magical views just a stones throw away. You have Easy access to everything you need. Loved it!
This hotel is all about location. It is bang in the centre and close to everything. We were in Cascais to support our son in the Iron Man competition and it was ideal. It was perfect to pop back and fore to and confirmed that yes you can get cheaper places miles away but the convenience of closeness trumps that. Staff were superb. Friendly helpful -nothing was too much for them. Breakfast was fine. It’s not the Ritz so don’t expect eggs Benedict etc. Similarly the rooms were adequate ,clean, with everything you needed. Would we go back there . Yes no hesitation
Good hotel. I have a very pleasant stay here. Staff was friendly and professional. Nice and somehow trendy rooms. Rooms were clean, fresh and spacious. Also and my room came with a nice view. Minibar was available in the rooms. Only disadvantage might be that the hotel is located in a residential neighborhood. You will need to walk 1-2 streets before finding some buzz. Other than this, a perfect stay.
When entering the room we had booked the smell was so bad, it turned my stomach…..like disinfectant x 10…..we opened the windows for hours….it made no difference. The lady at reception did try to help and offer different rooms and after the first night we opted to pay extra and move. Smell still there but a lot less. It’s a noisy hotel…..even when we were moved (to a suite which we paid for)….reception was down below and made a hell of a noise checking in guests at 11.30 pm. Shouting rather than talking.lol.l The lady I mentioned earlier was very nice and engaging but the reality is this is a 2/3 star hotel that is noisy (and clean…….)….although I must also mention the single duvet on a double bed….why???
CCoen URooms are very small, but clean. Location is ok, breakfast is very limited and the price is outrageous for the comfort. Beds are terrible. The manager is incompetent. They gave us a broken bed for two nights, so we had no sleep. When we wanted to solve this, the manager started yelling at us that we caused this ourselves. Had a very bad week because of this, there is no talking to her. She called us liars and yelled that we wanted a free vacation. Now she'll say she wasn't yelling and we were out for money, which isn't the case. We then had bizarre mail contact, where she offered us two nights in her hotel. We will never come back here anyway and advise everyone not to spend the night here.
ผผู้เข้าพักThere is a lot to say about this hostel but I'm not going to say just bad things because I stayed for two months It's a spacious place with a swimming pool near a train station, a wonderful beach for surfing and there are a lot of shops around The reception maintenance team is renewed quite often but generally they do their job well, they are people who come from afar for the most part, they are looking for recognition and a better quality of life. now we are going to talk about the big problems of this place caused by poor management of a surely negligent owner and one or more incompetent and irresponsible Manager During my stay here I saw five assaults, mostly on girls who work for the hostel. I never saw the owner or the Manager come to see anything or try to comfort his team, I had to intervene myself on aggressions inside the hostel to make the attackers leave we had to leave the place about ten days because of bedbug's On our return we had no compensation for this and the manager asked us to pay again the tourist tax that we had already paid, we should never have returned To newcomers, guests, or workers you can now have your own opinion before coming to these places think carefully many people left very quickly because they did not come to Europe to relive the same scenes of violence as in their country of origin. Cheers and enjoy your trip
