Great hotel for the price. Came for the half marathon and stayed 6 nights. Big smart hotel, not perfect but I also stayed last year and I'd happily stay again. The hotel is relatively quiet given it's Magaluf. We did b&b, the food was pretty standard hotel fare, it was ok. WiFi is great. The showers are a bit weird, they pulse between freezing your soul and showering you with molten lava. You'll learn when to dodge in and out of the stream 🤣 The other weird thing is the beds - they're comfy, but there are no headboards and there are wheels on the bed so they roll away from the wall. All in all a great value hotel with friendly staff.

4 star rating overall from me. There are imperfections, but I wouldn't read too much in to some of the recent very negative reviews. Located at the far end of Magaluf, towards Cala Vinyes, but within 10 minutes or so walk of the ”bright lights” of the ***** if wanted. I caught public bus A11 from the airport which takes around 40 minutes and drops less than a 10 minute walk away - all for the princely sum of 6.75 euros (that becomes cheaper if you tap on and off using a contactless card - but mine wouldn't work). A taxi is c. 50 euros. The beach is only a couple of minutes walk away out of the front door, albeit the slope / steps are quite steep and, not untypically for Spain, it appears the last couple of steps were never properly finished so have to be exited sidewards. We were a group of middle aged lads, occupying three rooms, one in block 2 (above reception) and two in block 1. The rooms varied but were all clean and tidy, TVs had a choice of UK channels, and (large refillable type) shampoo and shower gel were provided. My mini fridge was fully stocked (water, beer and soft drinks), but the other two rooms weren't (maybe because I'm a Hyatt club member and booked directly?). My safety deposit box needed a new battery that I had to follow up on day 2 for it to be fixed (they wanted me to be present to fix it). This hotel, that I suspect was born from amalgamation of 2 or maybe even 3 hotels, tries to be all things to all people - with clients ranging from young families with children, through couples, groups and the retired. It is large, with multiple pools, and a choice of food and drink venues were available (noting recent reviews about a slow start to the season, low occupancy and limited choice etc). Late afternoon check in was smooth and efficient for me, but I appreciate if bus loads arrive at the same time it could be lengthy. We were all inclusive and food and drink was generally good, albeit as others have noted, you need to keep an eye on things being fully cooked - we had to waste some under cooked chicken. Labelling was also an issue with some missing and others confused - baked beans labelled as ”small black pudding” being an example. See sample menus from Tapas and Burger ”Market Street” venues. We were able to use these ”specialities” at leisure, but I suspect they might be limited or need to be pre-booked in high season. There are some anomalies about what drinks are included - some cocktails are and others aren't. For example, Mojito is extra? The entertainment during our stay was mixed. The (newly arrived) team work hard, but things weren't perfect - the promised music quiz on our last night wasn't delivered for example. That said, the live singers weren't bad. We had a Beatles tribute band, and 90s retro live singers. The pools aren't heated, but were fine once you got in - the weather being mid 20's and sunny when I was there (9th to 13th May). Hit and miss I will find this review quite difficult to write as the Cupido has many good points, but, unfortunately for us, I think the negative aspects just about outweighed the positives. The main asset the hotel has is its staff who are hardworking and happy in their roles and constantly engage in a cheerful manner with guests throughout the day... they really are fantastic and a credit to the company. There are little touches that are very pleasing such as for the first welcome drink they don’t just offer you a watered down orange juice or 1/2 inch glass of wine but more or less anything you want from the bar (obviously within reason) such as tea, coffee, glass of wine or full pint of beer... good start! When by the pool or roof terrace the lovely staff will come round and offer you free slices of cold water melon to cool you off a bit... all thoughtful gestures. The rooms appear to be very hit or miss, we started with a definite 'miss' initially with a tiny dark room (no balcony) tucked in the corner of the building with a very small single window looking out onto the blocked out side of someone’s balcony about 3ft. away (see photos) - the bigger window to the right wasn’t ours. Admittedly we booked a room without balcony as we had no choice when booking with Jet2, however, Jet2 don’t appear to charge extra for a balcony room anyway - it was just that they had none left - so this shouldn’t really have affected what room we were allocated. But this is where the lovely staff come into play again, between the manageress Carlota and the lovely receptionist Paula, after 2 nights they managed to swop our room to one that still had no balcony but was bigger, brighter, floor to ceiling window with superb sea view... what a difference! We were 2 weeks half board so you would have thought they’d have put someone that was only staying a few days on B&B in the first room to save us the embarrassment of having to ask to move. We would have been really miserable in that dark room for the whole fortnight. We were half board and are by no means fussy eaters but we thought the evening meal choice very limited even for a small hotel. There was literally one meat, one fish, one pasta and one grill station choice - none of which were very appealing. There isn’t even the choice of something like pizza which is usually on every hotels menu. These were accompanied by a choice of one vegetable and one style of potato. Even my partner who will hoover up anything didn’t enjoy any of the evening meals. But to counteract that the breakfast was okay and the morning machine coffee was the best I’ve had in a long time. As I say hit and miss. The communal areas of the hotel are lovely and everywhere is spotless but, as others have stated, it is in a rather noisy area (even in low season) with street bar music finishing after 2am., people shouting in the street in the early hours and the glass and bin wagons making an awful racket around 6am. which isn’t very condu

An honest review… We stayed at the Bonanza Park hotel returning home today. The hotel itself is lovely with beautiful gardens. The breakfasts are amazing & the staff are wonderful. However, for us the area of Illetas is far too quiet and boring (we are a married couple in our 50s). There are a couple of restaurants and that’s it. The only saving grace was the evening entertainment in the hotel opposite, Bonanza Playa but even that was only from 9pm - 10.30pm. Apart from this, there is honestly nothing. Luckily there’s the no.4 bus which is right outside the hotel that takes you into Palma (get off at Joan Carles) for 2 euros per person. It comes about every 10 minutes and is approximately a 20 mins journey. The same bus also goes to Porto Pi which is a large shopping centre and this is approx 8 stops before Palma (Joan Carles). The bus runs all day until around midnight. We also visited Cala Major but didn’t stay long as we found it really run down and rough. There are ‘beaches’ in Illetas but they are more accurately tiny coves that get absolutely rammed. Not a pleasant experience. Although they are beautiful and the water is turquoise blue.

This is the first Jet2 package holiday we have been on. Usually there is a few things you could point out that could be improved/changed, however this holiday from start to finish was flawless. We were really, pleasantly stunned at how smoothly everything went, the efficiency of flights, transfers and the hotel. The hotel was the best part of all, absolutely stunning, could not be any better or cleaner. All staff were attentive, took time to speak to guests, the manager took time to engage with guests all staff were hardworking , always around cleaning up, friendly, mannerly and always willing to help. The atmosphere and environment was very relaxing and just what we were looking for. The interior has been throughly and carefully designed, with everything you could need considered. This is the same for the exterior. Being an adults only hotel, it really was the ultimate chill VIBE. 😎 and not a bunch of 18-30s running around drunk like we feared. We are only early 30’s! but still not the scene we were looking for! All guests were respectable adults who were considerate to others and there to relax too. The food was a huge factor too, it could not be faulted, always delicious, freshly prepared not sitting out already cooked/mass produced. Breakfast lunch and dinner had so much variety including a daily specials board that always had fantastic new options, we were able to try a great range of things, including the cocktails, they were amazing too. The night barmen always made any requests seem easy. At the pool bar during the day there was also unique flavours and daily coffee iced frappes went down a treat too. Shout out to the pool barman who was really lovely, friendly and fab at his job! ( and making amazing mango daiquiris/ pina coladas!) 🧉 The room and balcony/view were lovely, we had room 515 and the view over the pool, beach and sea was just gorgeous to watch the sunset and sunrise. It’s a very big comfortable bed. Again always clean and not a spot of dirt or dust anywhere. Not even the odd ants that you might expect abroad! The room had a mini fridge, which was very handy, a safe and easy to use working air con, you could adjust the temperature and how high or low you wanted the blast which was helpful to be able to lower it for during the night. Fresh towels every day and fresh bedding when needed. The shower was really big and powerful too. The location of the hotel was perfect, very close to two amazing beaches, less than a 5 min walk to each. With lots of water activities. Surrounded by bars and restaurants. Also lots of street food places or take aways which were also above the standard for a usual kebab pit stop! There was supermarkets, and a large spar 30 seconds from the hotel, plentiful pharmacies, medical clinic, coffee shops/bakeries, just anything you can possibly need. For a hotel close to the nightlife at the *****, we didn’t hear much at all in the wee hours! Unless on the balcony. Even then it was not disturbing i
