This stay was honestly very disappointing from start to finish.
I arrived at around 4 AM after a long flight, tired and just wanting to go to bed. The first problem was that the hotel was surprisingly hard to find, especially the entrance. Then, when I finally got inside, I found out that the person on the ground floor was only a security guard and that I had to take the elevator to another floor to check in. Dragging my luggage around the building at 4 AM was not exactly a great start.
The next surprise was that instead of giving me a key, they told me to download an app to access my room. Maybe that sounds convenient, but when you’re exhausted, your internet isn’t working properly, and it’s 4 in the morning, the last thing you want is to stand there downloading and setting up an app just to get into your room.
When I finally got inside, there wasn’t even a bottle of water. It was 4 AM and I had to leave the hotel to buy water because there was none available. I honestly think providing drinking water is a very basic thing, especially for guests arriving late at night.
But the most disappointing part came the next day. I booked this hotel mainly because of the rooftop jacuzzi. That was the whole reason I chose it. And of course, the jacuzzi wasn’t working.
Shouldn’t that be mentioned somewhere before people book? If I had known it was out of service, I would have chosen a different hotel. Trip.com eventually refunded me, which I appreciated, but the whole experience was still crazy
