Stayed here one night pre-Antartic cruise and it was organised by the cruise company. The rooms look dated and some of the fittings, particularly in the bathroom needs replacing since they were broken. For the price point, it was disappointing if I had paid myself. Staff were friendly at check in and check out. Personally I would choose a different hotel unless you need to be in recoleta specifically
We were very excited to stay at Hotel Casa Lucia, but unfortunately, the experience wasn’t even close to 5 stars. At check-in, there was zero recognition of Hilton Diamond status and no mention of any benefits or breakfast. We had received an email prior to arrival and had sent our requests for a spa appointment. No mention of this either. I had to bring all of this up and then the lady had to call to see if anything had been confirmed. Then I had to get clarification on Diamond benefits (still unsure what exactly they are). When we got to our room (601), it was like we entered a refrigerator. The AC was set to 10 degrees C if you can believe it. The room was tiny, with a small window facing the windows and balconies of another not-so-nice building. Not the view of Buenos Aires we were hoping for. All of that aside, the condition of the room was atrocious. The carpet was stained all throughout the entryway and next to the bed, and there were scuff marks on the walls. The bathroom had the smallest shower I’d ever seen, with one of those plastic white trays for a floor. When showering, water would spray out of a large open gap by the glass door and soak the bathroom floor. The shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner were in large plastic bottles that were crumpled and disheveled because they didn’t include the pumps and previous guests had squeezed the hell out of the bottles already. Room 601 was also right next to the cleaning closet where workers would go in and out all day, chatting and slamming the door. Lastly, when I tried calling down to the front desk to mention these issues, on the 1st try I was on hold for 5 minutes and then was hung up on. The 2nd and 3rd tries they just put me on hold and never picked up. Finally on the 4th try someone picked up. After going through these issues, the person just told me a manager would call me back. No one ever called back. Sadly, not surprising at all. This is a 3 star motel (if that) masquerading as a 5 star hotel. It’s a shame because the lobby/bar area is really beautiful. Service is embarrassing, and don’t even count on any additional effort or a slightly better room if you have Hilton status. Do yourself a favor and book the Four Seasons or Park Hyatt. At the prices Casa Lucia is charging (even when using points), it’s just highway robbery.
This hotel is located in the Theater District — it is in close walking distance of El Teatro Colon, the Obleisk, other theaters, many shops and restraunts. The breakfast was very good — especially the omeletts — ask the head waiter before you take your table. They have good coffee, a variety of warm items, breads, cold-cuts, juices, cold drinks, try their croissants, fruits, etc. Very helpful staff who speak Spanish, English and Portuguese. The pool was closed for the season — that was sad for our tour group. We were there in mid-April and we had several warm days and it would have been nice if we could have used the pool. The small gym was open though. The outside sitting area at the back of the hotel was pleasant. We used the safe in the room, the beds were comfortable enough, there was in-room coffee & tea. I highly recommend that when the hotel is re-furnished again, that they aim at pleasing and catering to the guests and to make the guest rooms and common sitting areas more comfortable for us — everything should be refurnished so the guests are served — it seems like the decorator aimed at pleasing other decorators and not at pleasing the actual users of the furniture. It was almost impossible to get out of the sofas, the black interiors were not pleasant, the closest with the safe was not really correctly designed to put clothes in. Our group was there for 8 nights and there were no smaller shelves to put clothes in — my clothes were always just in a pile in the large shelves. The other closet was fine. Look at the picture of the shower I have published here — very stange — I blame the interior decorator for this! The TV did NOT have any English-language channels. One news channel in English would have been helpful. There was a hair dryer, hand soap, shampoo/body wash and conditioner provided. The towels were fine. They had enjoyable art work throughout the hotel. We used a meeting room several times during our stay on the second floor that suited our needs well. Make sure you get a room on the back side of the hotel — it is quiter back there. I would return to this hotel the next time I come to Buenos Aires. The price is reasonable.
The NH BA Tango is located right in front of Obelisco and Ave of 9th Julio. We stayed at NH BA Tango for 3 nights because of its strategic location. We booked a junior suite room, and the room was very clean, spacious, comfortable, and quiet.
The breakfast was served at a clean and nice restaurant on the 3rd floor. There were varieties of croissants and pastries, ham, cheese, scrambled eggs, salted vegetables, fruits and juices.
Tango Portenno and Theatre Colon just located next to the hotel. Floriade Street and Ave Corrientes just minutes away from the hotel. AEP airport is about 20 minutes drive from the hotel.
We will certainly stay at NH BA Tango if visit Buenos Aires again.
I stayed at the Park Tower, a Luxury Collection Hotel in 2011 and it was great. Unfortunately, 12 years later, the hotel is really rundown, poorly kept and my corner suite was terrible. I went to Buenos Aires to attend the Panamerican Congress of Ophthalmology and stayed 4 nights, March 16-20, 2023. Despite being Platinum, I could not check in to a room upon arrival to the hotel at 12:30 pm. So we went to the pool, but it was at the Sheraton Hotel next door. The pool chairs were very dirty looking and every single chair was stained; everything at the pool looked dirty, paint was peeling off surrounding walls and accessories were rusted. My room was extremely hot as the air conditioning did not work. When I asked someone to check the air conditioning, the person who came said to close the curtains if I wanted the room to cool off. What is the point of paying for a corner suite with windows on 2 sides if I have to keep the black out curtains closed? The shower flooded the bathroom floor and the person who came to check said it was fine. The shower flooded the bathroom floor daily. Housekeeping had to be called to make up the room every day in late afternoon. Towels were removed but not replaced in the same numbers. I had to use extra towels to dry the bathroom floor daily. The washcloths were also not replaced after the first day. There was a coffee machine but the coffee pods were not replaced. There was no turn down service. I paid for club access and found out that the club was at the Sheraton next door and only open from 2 pm to 8 pm, so no breakfast! The quality of the food was poor. There was one restaurant in the Park Tower hotel that served breakfast which was pretty good. Despite the elevator button indicating “Business Center” on the second floor of Park Tower Hotel, there is no Business Center at Park Tower - it is also at the Sheraton next door. Service is generally poor across the board - the concierge did not know whether the restaurant served lunch! He also would not call me a taxi to go to the Rural Convention Center when I asked. I am not sure why they are there if they don’t provide concierge services. I love Marriott Hotels and this hotel definitely does not meet the expectations or requirements of a Marriott Hotel. It is badly in need of renovations, repairs and personnel who are willing to provide good service. I enjoyed Buenos Aires very much despite staying in a terrible hotel because of fabulous restaurants such as Don Julio, Elena, Cabaña Las Lilas, Tango show and dinner at El Querandi and the beautiful city my friends and I saw in our private tour - Maria Corbalan Bespoke Tours provide fabulous service and should be a model for the Park Tower Hotel.
After reading the first few reviews, my expectations were not super high. I have stay now 3 times over the last few days. Disclaimer, I'm Diamond level with Hilton. Each time I've been upgraded to a suite, 915 (with terrace), 811, 411...all of them in perfect condition for an old building. Beware, bring your own adaptor as they have only a ubs charger or Argentinian plug. The hotel is 3 minutes walk from Calle Florida and Galerias Pacifico, Frappe wine shop just across the street! breakfast is the traditional one you'll find in most 4 stars in Argentina. Staff is super super nice. Not one of them, but all of them are truly here to help with a smile! With the previous reviews, due to the fact this is an old building, some rooms may not be up to level...just be nice at check-in and tell them you don't want one of those! Will I stay again, for sure!
ผผู้เข้าพัก 725 Continental Hotel is in a central position, short walk one way to Plaza de la Republica, with Obelisco, and a short walk the other way to Plaza de Mayo.A stop for the open top bus tours is on the other side of the street. Hailing a taxi is easy on the roadside but reception ordered a taxi without charge. The hotel has no car park, but there is paid-parking nearby. This art deco building is in a street of such buildings making for a scenic cityscape, both from the street and roof top terrace, where there is a bar and small pool. Sunset drinks were enjoyed on the roof. Room and ensuite was large and everywhere was clean. Reception directed us to 2 double rooms before finding the twin we had booked, which was an unwanted inconvenience after a long journey. There was a paid mini bar but no kettle in the room. View was across to the buildings the other side of the street. Air conditioning worked well. The lifts are slow and the wait was tiresome, but fortunately we could use the stairs from our room on a lower floor. Breakfast is served on the first floor, and there is a bar and restaurant on the ground floor, which we did not use. There are tango shows and many restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. Breakfast buffet was adequate with omelettes cooked to order. Window tables have picturesque street views. Facilities give the five star rating, but 725 Continental Hotel is more comfortable than luxurious. Location and service on offer made it good value.
Stayed here before my 15 day rio carnival cruise and was disappointed with this hotel after reading most of the comments about this hotel. The interior is okay and one thing I noticed is they don't provide a tissue box in the toilet nor anywhere in the room. The hotel is right on a busy street not far from the major sightseeing spots. Breakfast is just okay nothing to brag about. would not stay again in this hotel.
ผผู้เข้าพักWe stayed for 1 night around 2 weeks ago before our cruise. We were pleasantly surprised how nice it was and the front desk host, Daniel, was very friendly and helpful. We arrived at the hotel late morning after a long flight from the US. We were relieved that our room was ready. We were starving and Daniel recommended a restaurant near the hotel that was excellent and affordable. Our room was on the top floor with a great view of the plaza. It was in a great location and we walked all over and saw landmarks like the Obelisk and Teatro Colon. The room was comfortable and had a mini fridge and sofa. The breakfast was very good. Highly recommend this hotel and it was very good value.
ผผู้เข้าพักWe stayed here two times. The first time our room was on the 9th floor, and the second time on the 6th floor. The 9th floor room was very quiet, you could hardly hear the noise in the busy Corrientes street. The 6th floor room was not as quiet; you could hear some of the street noise, but it did not interrupt our sleep. We enjoyed the breakfast with media lunas, liquid yogurt, salami, ham, and good coffee. We received excellent service from Kelly at the front desk, and Eric who always managed the front door well. Kelly arranged our travel to the Ezeiza airport and also to the aeroparque.
A fascinating stay. This is perfectly central to restaurants and things to do. It was frustrating to be woken daily by ”Cambio, cambio!” being yelled all day every day. There are a large number of restaurants around you to go to. If you need power points, good luck. To charge my CPAP machine, the staff had to wrench the bed headboard off the wall. (second of second booking room) The other powerpoint we used were difficult to access, under the desk. One weird thing is that the rooms don't have smoke detectors and when I asked for one, I was ask what had happened to be wanting one. I didn't tell them about the power point supporting the CPAP machine making sizzling noises. (first room). We had to change rooms half way through the trip as we had made 2 bookings and couldn't stay in the same room. Our second room started in one room with no air-conditioning and we moved rooms the next day (first room of the second booking) So yes, over 10 days we stayed in 3 rooms. The staff are really lovely and very helpful. The beds are comfy, breakfast OK. All the windows open up fully so beware if staying with small children. The only English TV station we could find was cage fighting.
