Very clean nice suites, soap dispenser in shower was broken, no bid deal. The largest issue with this hotel is their front desk staff and their bizarre business practices. I booked the room weeks before our stay for a Sunday night. Was charged Saturday for the full amount of the stay on Saturday that was taken out of my bank account. Checked in on Sunday and I noticed Monday morning I was charged once again according to my bank account. When I brought it to the front desk staff’s attention, I was told that this is their policy and I would receive a credit with in 48 hours for the $253.95. I find this a bizarre business practice to be charged twice and hold my money for 48 hours. This could really do damage to someone’s account that is on a fixed income. I would absolutely never stay here again because of this bizarre business practice of Holiday Inn Express. Will go back to where I usually stay in Bishop from now on.
Arrived, dropped our luggage in the room. We went to look around the town and eat dinner. Came back to the room and walked to the tiled floor near bathroom, I slipped and caught myself before I fell. There were water marks from my shoes, I thought I tracked it in from outside. Then my wife took off her shoes and noticed the carpet was wet. We covered the carpets with towels so we would not get our feet wet or possible chemicals on them. We decided it was too late to get a different room and we were tired. I went to the front desk to get more towels and told them about the carpet. She said they had shampooed them earlier and it must not have dried. Asked why were put in the room, said did not know it was wet. On my way back to room I noticed a fire extinguisher holder that had a sign saying fire extinguisher was missing one. Now we feel a little unsafe if that wasn’t important to the property. So we feel that although we could have asked for another room we should not have had to. I’m all for understanding mistakes and oversights at times but these were both safety issues for the Public. Not a real good time. The funny thing is, there were little cards at the front desk encouraging guest to give a review to TripAdvisor.
Qualité Super 8.
Grande chambre tout confort, vue sur montagne.
Très calme, car les chambres tournent le dos à la route.
Petit-déjeuner très bien.
Personnel serviable.

Good location, good store just next to it, where travelers may buy anything they need. I had two rooms, with kitchen, the kitchen is simple but functional. The bathroom was quite cold as the heaters were so so able to heat both rooms.
MMechelle MSlightly cheaper than other places in town but still cost $185 NZD. Older style motel with parking outside room. Had pool which looked clean but didn't use. Room was good size, older furniture but clean, one stain on bedsheet, bathroom had been updated, good shower pressure. Fridge in room. Offered breakfast, cereal and toast, juice and coffee, sufficient for our needs. Street appeal for this motel is not great, but could be improved by cleaning up a bit. We had an old, used, metal cooler bin and trash bin outside our room and an old bag of cement powder on the path to the office. There were numerous other items that could easily be removed to help this motel look better. Overall a satisfactory but over priced stay.
