We are a custom built home designed by Maine archetect Caleb Johnson and are settled on a wooded lot which overlooks Biddeford Pool Marsh which is a Rachel Carson bird sanctuary. We are a 2 minute walk to the center of the Campus of the University of New England and a 7 minute walk to Hills Beach a secluded Maine beach . We are also just a 10 minute drive or a bike ride to Fortunes Rocks beach which offers two miles of sand and is known for its surfing. Biddeford Pool (3 miles) Kennebunkport (10 miles) Old Orchard beach (12 miles) and Portland (20 miles) are an easy drive. Room offers one bedroom with en suite bathroom. We have a living room with potential to sleep several on a jumbo recliner couch and on 2 extra long twin beds. This is a completely private living room for our guests. There is a second full bathroom off the first floor hall and serves guests sleeping in the living room. We DO NOT have a full kitchen but do have a small refrigerator, microwave and toaster. Continental breakfast supplies are available in the living room. A hot tub, beach equipment, and robs are a few of the amenities that are included. We have strong WiFi. Swim, fish, search for sand dollars & sea glass, kayak & paddleboard, or sunbathe at the private beach, all while taking in the fantastic ocean views. Or sit in the Adirondack chairs, sip coffee, and gaze at the ocean.The house sleeps 6 and has 3 full bathrooms, an additional hot-water outdoor shower, 3 bedrooms, a living and dining room, an office/reading nook, and a fully equipped kitchen. Amenities include sheets/blankets for all beds, towels and toilet paper in all bathrooms, beach towels, a Keurig coffee maker with pods, 2 TVs, an outdoor grill, a washer/dryer, a microwave, an air fryer, a waffle maker, a blender, large pots for steaming lobster, and plenty of serving and dining pieces for dinner parties or quiet meals. There are also enough spices to get your meals started. There are also beach chairs, umbrellas, corn hole boards, spike ball, Bocce ball, indoor games and puzzles, an extensive library of biographies, mystery books, children's books, and much more. You will also have use of a kayak, a canoe, and a paddleboard. Magnificent ocean views from the en-suite master bedroom and balcony access. The second bedroom also has access to the balcony, and the quaint third bedroom has 2 twin beds. The dining room seats 6-8. The living room has 2 sofas, an easy chair, a 40-inch HDTV, a DVD player, and WIFI. Upstairs, there is a scenic, cozy nook/office perfect for relaxing, reading, or taking in the views. There's a picnic table under the deck, a flower garden, and a gas grill outdoors. On the lawn, you can play a serious game of corn hole, Bucket Golf, or Spike Ball. Granite Point area, north of Goose Rocks and south of Biddeford Pool. Quiet road: 15 min drive to Old Orchard Beach, 10 min to Kennebunkport, and 30 min to Portland, seemingly hours from the hectic tourist scene. In August, a 7-night Saturday-to-Saturday stay is required. The Sealander House was built by the City's Mayor in 1926. This historical home is full of old world charm, huge rooms, lots of large windows and drenched in sunlight. It features hardwood floors, a working fireplace, pocket doors, French doors, a huge dining room, 2 full kitchens, 2 gas grills, one on the back porch off the kitchen and one on the 2nd floor deck, a large inviting front porches, a large deck off the 2nd floor kitchen, a covered balcony. Lots of privacy with established gardens and a fire pit. The house sits across the Street from Clifford Park. An amazing home perfect for groups, vacations and celebrations. An easy day trip to Portland. The house is close to numerous beaches, a short drive to many popular tourists spots, 25 minutes from Portland and the University of New England is down the street.
