Central location to the historic district is fabulous, the breakfast is top notch, go to breakfast before 0900 on the weekend to beat the rush.

Check in was fine except we were not told that there was a conference taking place in the hotel, or the impact … we came down for dinner and were told that dinner was not available at that time due to conference attendees … had to come back in 45 minutes when the place was deserted!

Warm, clean and comfortable room especially the bed. Reception staff welcoming & helpful. Excellent location to walk around the city & convenient stop for airport shuttle bus. Definitely recommend.

We paid for an upgraded room with old town view and were put in a standard room with no view. When we went back down to get shifted we were told no Superior rooms were available and put in a Junior Suite.
All was great until the next morning when we were suddenly woken by a massive alarm going off. We soon realized there was construction with pounding, sawing, drilling happening to the building right outside our window. To make it worse, the workers were playing loud music.
We called the front desk and were told that they were not supposed to be there so early. We asked if they could stop them and were told not possible. We asked for a refund. The front desk person told us only the manager could approve this. We asked to speak with the manager and were told he would arrive in 30 minutes.
He (Frank) never contacted us.
I went down to the lobby and was told by the person at the check in that Frank was in a meeting and that I should email him. I informed I was not leaving until we spoke.
She went and got him. Frank admitted that we were placed in part of the building that we should never have been assigned to; that there were other rooms available where we would not have had this issue.
He promised to not charge for our meals (he could not reimburse the room due to it being booked on *******) and that he would issue enough points for a future stay.
We got the bill via email a few hours later and we were charged afterall so we plan to contest with our CC company.

We had two problems. 1. The soft mattresses which were on the beds. We had back pain every night even though we were provided with cardboard etc. to make the beds firmer. 2. In the room itself, there was no comfortable chair to sit on in order to relax and watch the TV.
