We made a last-minute decision to escape the Portland drizzle and spend the weekend in Bend. We chose the Oxford Hotel as it is in the perfect location to explore the boutiques and restaurants downtown, Old Bend, and the Deschutes river walking trail. We were completely satisfied with all aspects of the Oxford. While it is one of the more expensive options for staying in Bend, the cleanliness, service, and location make it absolutely worth the price.
I would like to thank the staff at this hotel! Traveling from NY to Redmond was challenging to say the least. Checked in at 12:30 pm when we were supposed to arrive at 1 in afternoon. Thank you American Airlines for poor service. Front desk Manager was wonderful as our luggage never made it. She provided us with toiltries to get us through the morning. This was our second stay here. Clean, bright and courteous. Relax hour at 4 i believe with complintary wine and craft beer with cheese, bread, olives. Board games scattered about. Please throw some dollars in the gratuity cup! Breakfast is provided with a different hot course daily along with continental accompaniments. Coffee rotated constantly throughout the day. There was also 3 tea selections in the evenings with unique fresh blends.
The hotel itself is nice, as the staff I spoke with. It was the manager that emailed me that could not help. Apparently there was a miscommunication between my understanding of being able to receive a credit on most of my stay. I reserved the hotel from a Wednesday through Saturday as my daughter was having a baby and I live out of town. Due to complications, I never slept at the hotel. I did a mobile check in on that Weds but called the hotel to let them know I wouldn't be there as I had to stay at the hospital. I did show up Thursday and Again on Friday to shower but ended up checking out on Friday in person as I didn't really need the room. I received a credit for one night only, so basically I paid over $1000 for two showers. Disappointed since these were unforeseen circumstances and I was hoping for a little grace from the hotel.
Stayed here for 1 night for a concert at Hayden Homes Amphitheater. We rode bikes from the hotel to the concert, making it an ideal location! Staff was friendly and welcoming! Our room was really nice. Feels like a new hotel and will be our go-to for all future stays in downtown Bend. Absolutely recommend staying here!
My wife and I went to visit relatives and go to a concert. We got to the hotel and we found the elevators were clear in the back of the building. Our room was the first one in front so we had to walk quite a distance to get anywhere in the hotel. They put us on the third floor so we had to take the elevator to get upstairs. We found ourselves taking the stairs down to shorten the distance, but you could not take them up as they were exit only. And we checked in with an AARP discount. Not sure why they put us so far from the elevator. Breakfast was ok but they ran low or out of items both mornings we ate. On another note we also had a family with kids above us that made so much noise running back and forth we barely got to sleep. I would probably only book this hotel again if it was my only choice.
This is the best hotel we have staying in within the United States. (The Holiday Inn we stayed at in Mumbai was even better) The rooms and hotel itself are spacious, impeccably clean, quiet, beds are comfortable, and the breakfast was quite good. We are very impressed and glad we found it.
Clean room / great breakfast / friendly & helpful staff I researched lodging for quite a while before we went to Bend, and this BW fit the area we wanted to stay. They provide a breakfast of eggs, omelets, pancakes, juices, and so much more. No reason to have breakfast out at extra cost!
We spent 2 days. The room as clean and comfortable. They only change linens every 3 days by default. I don't know if that's a covid policy for now or usual. However, we asked for clean towels the 2nd day and got them immediately. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Provided breakfast was minimal but good on the first day and some hot items were provided. The 2nd day had no hot items and very little of everything else. We actually ended up getting something down the street. As for Covid protocols. As I said the room was very clean. I did not see the staff remind anyone in the lobby to mask, and I saw quite a few came through not wearing one over the 2 days. I know this is not uncommon for most businesses as some non-maskers become angry and unpleasant of asked. However, Covid is serious and every business that doesn't insist on the rules being followed makes it harder for every other business that tries to. It also makes ones stay less pleasant as you have to dodge folks, pick when you go to the front desk, etc. I'm quite aware that this a difficult thing to do, but seeing one front desk person remind an unmasked guest would have upped my opinion and review.
Fishing our way around the Pacific Northwest, we called about 5:30pm for reservations, the gentleman was very kind and met the online rate quoted. We arrived late and he was still waiting, check-in was prompt easy and flawless and for no reason, he upgraded us to the spa room without additional charge. The rooms are VERY nicely renovated and designed, not your typical hotel fodder, actually pretty. When I travel for work, I stay in rooms for several months at a time and I hope that at some point, I am deployed to this area so I can stay in these rooms!! They have done a fabulous job renovating the entire property and making their guests feel right at home. Attention to detail is noticeable and appreciated. We were too late for the food truck, but would definitely try it next time around. I wish them all the success. ps. they have REAL keys to the room, not the credit card type...LOVE IT:)
ผผู้เข้าพักDecent for the price but they kept my deposit. I called to see why it wasn’t refunded and the gentleman that answered told me the manager was gonna call me back but never did.
First problem, when I arrived I wanted to change my payment method and the manager informed me that they had already precharged my card due to being sold out! She said she couldn't switch the payment method without it taking a great deal of effort! I have never had any hotel I stayed at, or worked at, precharge a credit card unless it was a prepaid room. But never, even if it was sold out, have i been charged before ive even checked in! Usually I am asked if the credit card on file is correct and then charged at checkout! I talked to the Night auditor and he said it was a recent change, within the last week, from the new manager and that he had never had any manager do this in the 7 years he has worked there. Definitely not a fan of this ”policy” change. Second, I asked if I could get a little milk for my youngest child since I hadn't been able to get some before we got to the hotel. I was told that it was not possible for them to get me any, which I guess isn't a huge deal, just agitating since every other hotel I've been to has been able and willing. Last, the bedroom smelt like stinky feet and the beds were awful! If you like sleeping on plywood these beds are for you! Otherwise go spend $20 more at best Western for a better bed. Staff overall was friendly, just won't be staying here or at any other Quality inn in the future.
