"Our 5 night stay at Arumdalu resort was truly memorable. This small, boutique resort is tucked away on a private beach adjacent to a nature reserve, making it a very pretty setting. Our villa was was beautiful, spacious and comfortable, with good facilities. The private pool was a good temperature and large enough to do a little swimming. The thing that makes the resort are the staff. They are all extremely helpful and can't do enough for you. The chefs are amazing and the food is well prepared, and very tasty - actually the best food of our Indonesian trip. We were spoilt, as our stay coincided with the end of the high season, and so the property only had a few guests in its 11 villas, and so they had the time to go above and beyond. This included a very special dinner in the gardens and a magnificent picnic breakfast on our last day, which was a complete surprise. There are some challenges faced by the team, as I suspect COVID hit them hard and some of the villas were not being used. There was also a constant battle to keep the beach clear of detritus, but this is not their fault, simply a wider issue with the amount of rubbish that gets dumped in our oceans. This is an eco-resort and so there are not teams out everyday with foggers to kill mosquitoes etc and so be prepared for a back to nature experience, however, nothing can detract from the care and attention provided by the staff, the excellent villas and beautiful location. Well worth a visit"

"A very characteristic and authentic place, which we finally appreciated very much! During our stay we were the only guests, so it was practically like having all the structure available to us. 😊 We certainly need to have a little spirit of adaptation and not expect the classic hotel with all the comforts, but we think that is exactly what makes it special and different from the usual. The manager was really nice and super available with us for the whole stay: he helped us organize and book excursions, he rented our motorcycles directly to turn in autonomy and he also accompanied us in the course of some excursions. A availability that we appreciated very much and which made the experience even more pleasant. Also very nice breakfast: every morning his wife prepared everything at home and brought it to us personally. A small detail that makes the place's family and genuine atmosphere good. ❤️ There are also some small things in the structure to enjoy and spend time, such as a mini billiard, a mini ping pong table, which help make the environment even more sympathetic and characteristic. It was a very positive experience in general. It is not a conventional hotel, but a simple, special and genuine place where we felt very well welcomed. If you look for something authentic, far from the classic tourist facilities, and you are ready to adapt a little, we think it's absolutely worth it!"
