The property and rooms are very well kept/clean. The staff is definitely 5 star. They were absolutely amazing. The dining facility was surprisingly pest free being that it was outside. I expected more flies, mosquitoes, etc. There were virtually none so that was great. The food was buffet style and I’m not a buffet fan. Too many germs. Although it was a buffet, the food was pretty good. Since we stayed 5 nights, we’re were given vouchers to eat at two other restaurants, two nights. We ate at the Japanese and French restaurants. They were soooo good. The unlimited liquor was awesome too. Fresh coconut water everyday was good. What I didn’t like were the limited onsite amenities. I felt trapped on the resort. My ideal of traveling is to be free to roam the city. Not stuck on the resort property. I feel like I didn’t experience a vacation being stuck on the property. Transportation wasn’t so easy to come by. The worst part was being talked into a 2hr “presentation” in exchange for a 30 minute massage. At the end of the presentation, you are seriously harassed to sign a 30 year contract for $19,000, $5,000 down for a “timeshare” package. They say it’s not a timeshare however, I’m America, we call it a timeshare. Not worth sitting through unless you are rich and can afford to add another $400 monthly payment to your household budget. Last thing, anytime I’ve left the United States to travel, shopping is approximately 1/3 the cost of the U.S. Shopping here was 2x more than the U.S.
