"Excellent location and beautiful hotel grounds. Quiet, green, great views, and close to the main street. The hotel staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. There were no issues with the Wi-Fi or shower. On the downside, the room was quite cool at night."

"The Old Inn at Bandipur delivers exactly what it promises, rustic accommodation in a 200 year old building. Built on a hillside, the building and accommodation has been sympatheticly restored to include Western style toilets, along with showers. The bed is comfortably firm. The rooms have floor fans. The food is delicious. The service is polite, friendly, and professional. Highly recommended for someone who wants a break from modern chain hotels."

"Last week, 16 th of April 2025 we have visited Historic Newari village of Bandipur, Nepal, We were searching the peaceful , neat and clean hotel near the Tudikhel area of Bandipur because of huge public ground to walk in the morning with fresh air of holy Tree called 'Pipal' So we have been there and saw some good hotels but we found the Durbar Himalaya with a traditional architectural style exterior and interior and courtesy receptionist , we decided to stay there. New building, spacious room, bathroom and private balcony as well. Very simple and traditionally decorated impressive restaurant attached with lobby served very tasty and hygienic breakfast. We found the friendly and service orientated staff as well as special thanks to Mr Bais Gurung, Managing Director of this beautiful hotel for his kind attention."

"Arrived today and asked for a room, was happy with price and room so booked two nights... come back to homestay 2 hours after checking in only to find owners daughter standing at our door asking us to leave because she has overbooked.. Asked if she could find another place for us which she did at a higher price (her sisters place) asked if they could compensate the price considering the overbooking wasn't our fault, no luck. Overall very bad hospitality experience and if this is anything on how the rest of the stay would have been then I'm glad we didn't stay !"
