We arrived on the 22 and was welcomed by ismail and checked in by shams from reception both were super nice and instantly gave us one of the best first impression any one can ask for. Our first day we had shawarma from black city and it was the best shawarma we ever had and made us go back again for the taste of it several times. Definitely recommend every one to try. We had the best service by our special favorite orkhan who was super friendly and the team made sure we get the best service. We had to just look once and literally the staff comes running to help. 10/10 for the attentiveness and details of the black city staff. We tried green house but the food is same as white city. Would have been amazing if they had a different cuisine than white city. We had the best shisha made by Hussain who was very kind but didn’t get the same smile and sweetness from the other staff in green house. Service was not bad but as we had an amazing experience from black city where all the staff are super attentive was a little down fall. We had dinner in white city and couldn’t order anything else after we tried the honey baby chicken which was absolutely delicious. We also had lunch twice in white city but the service was super slow due to lack of staff but David while we noticed it was definitely a time of rush he had done amazing while doing the service with a very energetic smile and a very positive vibe. The hotel has a beautiful steam room, sauna and a pool. I met gulshan from spa while I went for sauna who always was super attentive kind with a gorgeous smile. It is beautiful to go for a walk out side the hotel as it’s near a park with ocean views. We had met amazing locals as well as everyone we met were super kind. The hotel has beautiful garden and greenery around the property. We usually take pictures in every country we go but we fell in love with the gardens and the colours around we took pictures just out side the hotel. Lots of mini butterflies and just super pretty and beautiful colorfulness around the hotel. The rooms are spacious and if you love mirrors this would be a perfect place as the hallway to room are filled with huge mirrors. The only problem we faced was that the hotel didn’t have a eu plug and we had to take a walk to get them on the first day but other than that didn’t have any issues. Lastly was checked out by Orkhan from reception who was funny and sweet asked us about our stay and had a good last impression as well. All together a great team at marriot and definitely would recommend to stay as the hotel is beautiful with amazing facilities and to top of has amazing staff with delicious food. Personally this was the best vacation 💕

Worst hotel experience ever, from the location a noisy late night restaurant to the drunken fights outside your room!!! strong stench of sewage in the room, mold in the shower cabin, musty smell of towels that are given one per person in a 4-star hotel(!) Met us, showed us one room, and in fact moved us into another The hotel administration could not settle the noisy guests who were behind our wall until two in the morning! The bed for two was completely unprepared, the two mattresses kept moving apart and it was not possible to sleep together The overall clean is questionable, dust on the windowsill, dirty carpeting, hair on the bed I do not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel

I don’t normally take the time to review places but considering that they market themselves as a 5 star hotel I want to make sure other people considering this hotel know what to expect at least. For context We stayed in this hotel for a week as a family (2 kids) in a connecting family room. First off when we arrived and checked in, the guy at reception said they would check our documents and to please wait in their restaurant. We ordered some drinks and waited. Meanwhile suddenly they start blasting Indian music so loud in the restaurant (it was only us and another family there) that we had to go ask them if they could please turn it back down again. I don’t know for who or why they put the music on so loud. This also happened when we ate breakfast one morning. After maybe 20 minutes we went to ask reception how check in was going and were only told that “they were checking”. We decided to go and get some late lunch since we didn’t know how long we needed to wait for them to “check” whatever they were checking. If the room wasn’t ready, it wouldn’t have been a problem if they simply said so and gave us a time frame for when it would be ready. But this was a taste of the service to come unfortunately. We had a connecting family room that had one bathroom to share. The master bedroom had only a window which was a small and by the ceiling facing out into the hallway (so no external window) which meant it was like sleeping with lights on all night as the hallway light were always on. In this case perhaps a curtain for that window would be good or installing sensor lights in the hallway so the light isn’t on unless someone is there. The rooms were SO warm and when we went to check about the air conditioning they told us it wasn’t working or they didn’t have it. (Not sure which was the correct answer) They couldn’t give us a straight answer. They told us the heating had been on the night before but that they had now switched it off and allowed for “air” instead. So whatever control you have in your room is basically useless. When we asked if they could allow for the air conditioning to be turned on they just told us they would sort it out but nothing got done. We had to sleep with the only external window open during the night so at least our kids could be more comfortable. Other important things to note - we got 2 towels for 4 people. We asked them to bring 2 more which wasn’t done. Only when we saw a cleaner outside in the hallway one evening (3 nights into our stay) did we get 2 more. - there was no cleaning the whole week. We asked for more water, asked if someone would come to at least remove the garbage and they told us they would send someone but never did. - as shown in the photos, one of the single beds was broken underneath. - several sheets/duvet covers were broken, one example shown in the photos. - there was cigarette burns on the double bed headboard despite it being a non-smoking room. Shown in photos. Also the bathr
The reason why I came to Baku was that they told me a lot about Baku and I wanted to come and see it. It so happened that we came with a group and chose Qafqaz Baku City hotel. The hotel is beautiful and most of all, the staff have smiling faces, the rooms seem to have been renovated but they were clean, I thank all the staff and the night manager Mr Elfan, advised us on the best places to visit in Baku, and most importantly, he showed us the Old City on the map. In general, I left this hotel with good memories

This is my 3rd visit to Baku because its a beautiful and vibrant city with many touristic places to visit.Especially the Azeri people are very cordeal and receptive.I think this is one of the safest cities of the world. The hotels are cheap and quote effordable. The transport system is superb one doesn't have to hire a taxi because it's metro network is widely spreader and cheap.
We stayed two nights at this hotel, on the the first day and the last day of our stay at Baku. We got very different experience in the stay. The first stay was superb. We were picked up from the airport. The lady at the reception was very kind and helpful. They upgraded our room, which was very nice. We had a very good view from the window. Enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The second stay was equally bad. First, at the reception we had the worst experience of lifetime. We were supposed to pay 225 Azerbaijan Manat. I was in a great hurry to go to the toilet and gave my husband 245 Manat cash and went off. My husband was not aware about the tariff and thought we were supposed to pay 245 Manat and paid the whole amount to the gentleman at the reception who took the full amount and counted in front of my husband and kept it. My husband rechecked if he has to pay 245 and the receptionist said ”yes”. When I came to know about it, I went to the reception and asked him why he took 245, when the tariff was 225 Manat. He told me that he has taken only 225. He told the same to my husband. He refused to accept the fact that he has taken extra money. It was very strange for us, as we never expected it from a hotel. The money is small, but the feeling of being cheated made us feel miserable. Even the room given to us was quite bad. The hotel location is good, they offer pickup and drop to the airport. Breakfast is ok. But be careful, you may be cheated.
KKhan123Disappointed in all honesty.
The room itself was as expected, nice design and very spacious.
Housecleaning was below par as there was still rubbish on the floor after I had returned in the evening, 2 nights in a row.
Had to wait a few minutes for the shower to get warm. No toothbrushes in the bathroom.
Miscommunication between staff about payment which resulted in a very unnecessary late night phone call from the front desk. Further miscommunication about parcel delivery. One day it was brought straight to the room, the next day it was against hotel policy.
Asked for help with luggage for check out, never came.
Very far from the ritz experience.
ผผู้เข้าพักI chose this hotel because of the location, as it was close to the embassy where I needed to go, and it served my purpose. The streets around are very quiet, so no traffic noise. The room was fine for the price, spacious, good bed, clean, windows can be opened to let in air. The only problem, as others mentioned in the reviews, is that shower cabin leaks onto the floor, so the floor in the bathroom gets very wet and slippery. I did not try wi-fi or breakfast at this hotel, so cannot comment on that. 100 manat deposit was required when checking in even though room had been paid online. Maybe it's common pratice in AZ, I don't know.
ผผู้ใช้ไม่ระบุชื่อExcellent hotel. Everything was perfect. Friendly staff, high quality breakfast, clean rooms, good location. I would highly recommend.
ผผู้เข้าพักAmazing stay , excellent service from the reception above above excellence ! ,The location is perfect everything is a walk a way ! Perfect hotel .. the only issue is the housekeeping they dont clean they only arrange .. I faced issue with the toilet and noticed that its wasnt cleaned at all! Even the room tissue box was empty they didnt fill it they didnt notice because they dont clean even when I requested tissue box it was kept a side not in the tissue box container .. However, receptionist are always eager to help and assist they even offer the cleaning service mid night just to help ! A perfect hotel they only need to work on elevating the housekeepers
Note: rooms at a lower level and on a particular road are very noisy because of the cars you cant sleep , so request moving to a higher floor or another side of the hotel
ผผู้เข้าพักI stayed at a corner suite with incredible view of city and sea. Hotel has several restaurants, bars and a spa. One thing is missing at this hotel which is service level. Im not completely sure if its locals attitude or training but most employees need serious work to match the hotel status. Front Desk in general are the most well trained team, however I went to the main restaurant once and it was horrible from the receptionist to the working team. Another disaster team serves at Bar19. Hostess nor bartender had no clue what screw driver cocktail was and didn’t bother to even google it!!! Bar team seamed completely clueless and lost. Spa receptionist is very unprofessional she just wants you to cancel instead of selling packages! Hotel itself is iconic property but it lacks vibe and class. I hope it will only gets better next time I visit Baku.
ผผู้เข้าพัก”I would like to express my gratitude to Mr. Basher and the staff for their exceptional assistance during my stay. The room was impeccably clean and spacious, offering a comfortable size . Moreover, the location was superb, situated right in front of a beautiful garden and a bustling market. I highly recommend visiting this place to anyone seeking a pleasant and convenient accommodation option. Once again, I extend my heartfelt thanks to Mr. Basher and the entire staff for their outstanding service. I am certain that future visitors will have an equally enjoyable experience.
AArtyom PetukhovWhen I checked in I was told the door is broken so I could not open it with the electronic key and they'll open it, but it's gonna be fixed the next day. Of course it was never fixed and I had to ask the staff to open it for me every time. Felt REALLY awkward. Then some day some random woman (she was working here I believe) just opened my door and walked in while I was in my room at midnight, saw me, said sorry and run away. What was that I have no idea, but it kinda gives you an idea about their take on privacy. The TV was not working, because the cable was literally torn apart, the WiFi broke down several times and one time it was more than 24 hours. The showerhead was broken, the water from the shower never went the way it supposed to, but straight to the floor, the toilet was not really attached to the floor (thankfully it was attached to communications). With that being said, I still think the hotel is okay for the price, the room was nice, big and clean and had a personal balcony and the staff were really friendly.
