Charming location but we found our room (one with a balcony) a bit stuffy as we could not get the AC to work. There was a note taped to the AC that said 10 euro charge to use. I have never seen that before. Shower was small for me. I am 5' 10" 170 lbs and could have used more room. There was no elevator which was not an issue for us but could be for others. Breakfast was good. Nice town and if you do visit, make sure you take the trail to the top where the castle is located.

Couldn’t ask for a better location in Bacharach! The hotel is charming and well maintained. Our room was lovely, especially loved the bathtub with the chandelier! The only downside of the room was the toilet was separated from the shower and sink, which would be fine except it was such a small space the door barely cleared the toilet seat 😬 and with the door closed it was pretty claustrophobic.
The gentleman at the front desk was very soft spoken, so sometimes hard to understand what he was saying.

I booked a room during month of June. The temperature was very hot. The room was advertiste as a "wellness suite". This is what we got: Noisy room: you hear people eating, drinking, and talking till 22:00 hrs. Then, when restaurant closes the owner and his friends gather outside to smoke and talk loudly til past 24:00!!! To silense the outside noise, we closed all windows and turned on air conditioner except it DOES NOT work!!! Next morning, I asked the manager/owner to please turn it on ALL night as it will not work unless the manager turns it on remotely!!! Absurd? Yes!!! Manager did turn the AC on in our room for 2 hours in the evening and it never worked after that during another hot night. Bath towels had mildew, funky smell as if they forgot to wash them from previous guests. I have been traveling through Europe for 4 weeks and this is the only hotel I cannot recommend to anyone. By the way, Germany is a Beautiful country to visit and I will defenitely return.

We enjoyed our trip but.when paying extra for ac it should not have been turned off at nigth .when you need it most to have a good nites sleep

Nice quiet hotel with great staff in a prime location. Very nice buffet breakfast. Only downside was third floor room with no elevator.
