We loved this hotel! We left yesterday and miss it already. The whole building is charming. Think teddy bears, flowers, even an old typewriter my kid got a kick out of. Public areas include a very small lounge by the reception and a breakfast room with a big window overlooking a small street. The receptionists were friendly and helpful and most spoke some English. There is a small lift up to the rooms as well as a twisty interior staircase my son also enjoyed. Each floor has a couple of levels with a few stairs between each, so if you have mobility issues, be sure to request a room that doesn't require any stairs. Rooms: We had the junior suite for 3. (More than 3 would be quite cramped.) It has a double bed and a chair folded out into a twin. There is also a desk, two chairs, small table, chest of drawers, small closet, and additional clothes rack. So we were able to unpack most of our stuff and put it away. There is a small WC and bathroom with sink, drawers and shelving, bath/shower and clothesline. There's a small fridge mostly stuffed with minibar items, but we were able to cram in a couple of our own items. There were several windows but it did get rather dim in the evenings once the sun went down. The windows open directly onto a ledge, no screen, which might be concerning if you have a very inquisitive or adventurous toddler. We slept with a window open for a couple of nights and I did get a few bug bites, but I am one of those people who's irresistible to mosquitoes and very allergic; my companions were not bothered. The temperature was comfortable in late June and we didn't feel the need to try the A/C or heat. Amenities: Tea selection, instant coffee, real coffee; teapot and coffee machine; condensed milk, real and fake sugar. 2 teacups, 2 espresso cups, 2 spoons. Bathroom provided soap and combo shower gel/shampoo; no conditioner. Breakfast is an amazing buffet: Scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon and sausages, croissants, pain au chocolate, brioche, bread, pickles, olives, tea, coffee, espresso machine, fresh squeezed orange juice, milk, soy milk, other juices, cheeses, cold meats, fruits (strawberries, watermelon, pineapple), veggies, etc. It runs 'til 11 and even on the day we showed up late, they kindly gave us a ton of food. Location: This could be a pro or a con, depending on your preferences. It's right off the Place de l'Horloge, which has a ton of cafes and restaurants and glaciers and a cute little carousel. It's steps from the Palais de Papes. That is all very convenient, but it also means you hear all of the activities of the Place at night: late-night revelry (there was a big music festival Friday night and the band was...not great) and early-morning deliveries and such.

Sheltered from the legendaries rampart of Avignon, Hotel de Cambis, BW Premier Collection is from far the ideal place to discover la cité des Papes.
It was created as a testimony for the unique identity of this area. As soon as the doors are crossed, you will be emerged in an artistic concept shaped around wine, its colors, feelings and sensations.

Beautifully renovated and comfortable hotel within the walled city of Avignon! We loved our room, it was spacious (particularly the bathroom) and felt brand-new with very contemporary, warm colors and decor. The staff were very helpful and accommodating as well, offering to help us make dinner reservations and even telling us where to get a jar of the distinctive local honey they offered with breakfast. The breakfast options were fantastic, and the hotel is within walking distance of everything - you're 10 minutes away from the Palais du Papes and charming local shops, restaurants, and more. The one challenge is parking in Avignon: if you're driving into Avignon, while the hotel does recommend the INDIGO JEAN JAURES car park at 2 AV Mar de Lattre de Tassigny, 84000 Avignon, unfortunately it was closed when we were trying to park our rental car, so we had to go with an alternate outside the city walls. Would recommend having a primary and backup just in case for Avignon so you're prepared!
Modern hotel just outside the old city walls, a block from the main train station and an 18-minute walk to the Palais des Papes. My room had ample closet space and a mini-fridge. Lighting in the room was good. There is a large lobby area and a pool. Breakfast buffet was nice, with limited hot food, but nice fresh fruit and good croissants and pastries.
The lively Mercure Avignon Gare TGV hotel welcomes you to its innovative, contemporary concept and immerses you in the theatrical atmosphere of Avignon. Rooms and suites, well-being Spa, treatments and massages, restaurant and bar, coworking and events areas, seminar rooms... with the many services available, you'll have a great time in the heart of Provence. Undergoing renovations. Outdoor pool open in summer.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and modern. The restaurant was a plus. The room was fine, except the internet had really slow connection. Did not like sharing a room when there was a bathroom with no sink (how do you watch your hands when your roommate is in the shower area?). The shower area had only a curtain - so no sound protection. Could not get the room cold enough even with the lowest setting for temperature and the fan on high. We were both too hot.
ผผู้เข้าพักwe had several days in ibis avignion sud. the menager the personal: Elohiques, Maksim and all the stuff are extremly nice, even the kitchen, we are jewish religiouse ppl and they helped us without them our kids wouldn't have eat, the hotel is very clean! great sweeiming pool and good advisesfor trips, and they helped us book activities they are the best hotel!
QQuest33419107676Typical Ibis Budget but rooms are more spacious than others we’ve stayed in. Few minutes walk to main city centre road and a supermarket close by. Staff were excellent and really made our stay feel welcome. Avignon is well worth a visit even though ours was not planned but car breakdown gave us 4 nights here. The restaurants in city are good value with large portions for France. Would highly recommend
An interesting stay . As a silver Accor member I wasn’t overly impressed with the welcome. . It’s not all about the free drink , which we didn’t get , but no advise offered re the local restaurants , places to go or even the free map which of course was in the information stand . But would have been a nice touch to have been offered it The room was clean . The towels and bed clean . However thankfully for us we are both 5 foot 1 thus the smallness of the room not a problem The bathroom is small and you have to have the door open for space . The shower is great though , hot and powerful . Towels fine The room walls are paper thin and noisy loud guests don’t give a good nights sleep . But for the price ok for overnight stop or our case two nights We had the breakfast which was worth it at 10euros . Selection of cold meats , bread , yoghurt , scrambled and boiled egg , pigs in blanket , meat and cheeses . croissant and cakes plenty of hot drinks and orange or apple juice For us the only side is the parking which effectively is not the hotels problem however you need to be aware . The parking at the back near Chemine de courtine isn’t safe . We had our van broken into and items stolen . At night the road is full of white vans offering “ladies” with the white light on for ‘services’ As I say not the hotels fault but I feel the need to share our break in so folks can avoid parking there . We ate at the Novotel a short walk up the road . Exquisite food and service and great price Forewarned is better than the surprise
Good and clean facilities. Nice and helpful staff. It was quite peaceful with beautiful surroundings. It would have been good if the reception was open on weekends as well, mainly for supplies. I would definitely recommend this place.
ผผู้เข้าพักVery nice hotel for very good value. (Great value for money) not too far from the railway station TGV high speed services from here across central France. The highway is very close by and offers direct cases to a major auto route in France. Hotel staff were beet friendly and accommodating when advising us on solutions for our travel requirements this short trip. Hotel room was clean and and well equipped. Local area offers many eateries that are excellent. Hotel location is tremendous, 8-10 minutes walk to the railway station Avignon TGV. Superb location. Highly recommended.
SScott GI had a business meeting in Annecy, and was hoping to travel to the South of France to visit the hilltop towns of the Luberon while I was there, a bucket list item for me. I was worried I couldn't afford it... until I found this hotel! Such a relief to find such a reasonable hotel, and it turned out to be great. Small yes, but very clean, hot water, the bed was soft enough, wifi was decent, the check-in folks almost all spoke English, it was great. And unlike others I didn't hear anyone else at night. It felt like a really good Motel 6 to me. Only downsides were the breakfast was pretty sparse, and you need a car service (or to rent a car yourself) to get to the hotel. I arrived by train, then used the Bolt app (essentially France's version of Uber) to hire a car to bring me to the hotel. I arrived around 10PM, but someone was still at the check in desk and spoke great English, too. Then I rented a car the next day. I did the hilltop towns of the Luberon one day, then the next day I did Pont du Gard, Saint-Paul asylum in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (where Van Gogh stayed and painted The Starry Night), Arles, and Avignon itself. Thanks to Premiere Classe for helping my bucket list item be within reach financially! I had a fantastic trip!
ผผู้เข้าพักFriendly manager on duty but self check in not working . Hotel is still in need of massive update. Please see photo as it’s easier to see. Slower curtain stained bits broken damp etc . Expensive for the quality. The bed was comfortable
