Great little hotel with amazing staff; nothing was too much trouble, they helped us with trips and tours. The adjoining coffee shop was a delight, good breakfast and we had dinner there. Best coffee we had in SL. Overall I would recommend, thank you for lending me a plug adapter
This is a basic budget hotel for just to stay one night or maximum 2 nights. Nature and environment is good. Near paddy field. Close to Main road also. Quiet area.
Staff are friendly and helpfull.
However, bedding mattress are very thin and not good for long stay. Not comfy mattress. There were no table and chair for work and TV as per mentioned at the time of booking. I strongly say do not take meals from the hotel. Very expensive and ripping off. Just a small cup of tea was Rs. 250.00. Normally Rs. 120.00. This is.more than double is very unfair. Also water bottles, and everything are high price. So better stay without meals.
Air condition and wi-fi is very good. Water pressure is good.
To echo some of the other positive reviews of this hotel, we had a wonderfully peaceful stay. The rooms were incredibly spacious, and the views from our window were simply breathtaking. We particularly enjoyed the buffet, which had a fantastic selection of food, and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. Although our stay was just for one night, it was memorable. The only downside was the rain, which unfortunately kept us from exploring the beautiful grounds as much as we would have liked.
By far the best room I had in Sri Lanka! The room was so appealing, I felt very comfortable. Clean, everything worked. A small problem in the bathroom was fixed immediately. Less than a five minute walk to a good, but very reasonably priced restaurant.
We loved our time at this property. The grounds are stunning. Situated among rice paddies and surrounded by peacocks and monkeys, it is a uniquely beautiful experience being there. The main manor house also has a charming and historic feel. The villas are extremely spacious and beautiful, ours even had a private pool. Though we didn’t get to do a lot of their many available activities as we were touring a lot, we did the horseback riding experience where we actually got to ride horses into a lake. The two men who helped us were excellent. Another highlight was our dinner at the Kamathq restaurant, their extremely authentic private dining experience in the rice paddies. It is beautifully lit with an authentic old Sri Lankan kitchen and a delicious Sri Lankan feast prepared by two sisters, Diluka and Manel, who were not only incredible chefs, but such warm and welcoming hosts. We would absolutely recommend staying here when visiting the cultural triangle!
We stayed at Eagle Lodge for two days and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The housekeeping team (Perera, Sunil, Prasanna and Kenady) kept our room very clean and tidy and provided all the necessary facilities. Eagle Lodge is nice, with great interiors and spacious rooms. It is a comfortable and functional space for families to relax. The outside environment is also very peaceful and relaxed. The food is delicious. Especially the Lunumiris is very tasty.
The room was comfortable, spacious, and clean. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay. I loved the bathroom space in my room. Dilki and the young staff take care of the guests very well. On our request, they arranged transport to Sigiriya and Pidurangala rocks for reasonable prices. We got a Village tour which was interesting and I recommend it to any of you. Their BBQ dinner also nice. Overall we had a great stay!
