Had a terrible experience with this hotel. We had booked through ******* well in advance (45 days early) for a stay in October. They messaged us (via mail) about 10 days before our stay stating that they had given us a room by mistake and asked us to cancel our booking. When we called them to ask for the reason, they started lying that the hotel is closed during that time due to some covid related activity. Then they changed the story and said they are overbooked and wouldnt be able to accomodate us, so they wanted us to cancel the booking. When we refused to cancel from our end, they cancelled the booking and sent us a mail wrongly stating that the reservation was cancelled at our request. At all points they kept changing the story of why they were refusing to honor our booking, stating one reason after another. Thankfully, ******* helped us by booking another hotel in its place. The place happened to be right opposite the kaleici hotel and i peeked in to check and they were happily carrying on business. Clearly they had lied to us about covid issues, licenses etc.
