This hotel has all the usual Ibis features, although it has no parking. Staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are well equipped, and the beds are comfortable. Free wifi throughout the hotel, Good breakfast, with 'doggy bags' to take some fruit for 'vitamins on the go'.. The nearest car parks are five to ten minutes away. Although not quite the nearest Parking Moliere is the most accessible on the flat. As this hotel is in the town centre the car parks can be full, especially on a Saturday. It is possible to park briefly outside the hotel (in the 'livraisons' areas to drop off or pick up luggage. The hotel is superbly located for the centre of Angers, beside the Loirte with the cathedral just around the corner.
I stayed to catch an early train in the morning. Perfect location across from the train station. I stayed in the single room and it was very clean but not much of a view but sun did come in. Black out curtains as well. Looks like a recent renovation. There was an elevator for my large suitcase. Staff was friendly. Resto/ food options nearby. Internet worked fine while I worked on a small desk. Lots of plugs. I would stay again.
Small hotel located across the street from the train station. There is a large parking garage next to the station for your car and you can unload your car directly in front of the hotel before parking it if you pull partially up on the sidewalk. The location is good- only a 10 minute walk to reach the historical areas. The reception area is small as is the breakfast room. The hotel has a lift but only 2 of the seven rooms on the first floor are directly across from it. The other 5 rooms (like ours) were accessible only by the stairs although the reception staff were helpful in carrying luggage. The room was very small but clean. There is only a small rod available to hang clothes. Bedside “stands” were a 4x6 inch shelf. There was a power outlet only under one of them. There was a very small desk with 2 outlets- if you unplug the coffee maker. However the light over the desk was by far the brightest we had on our trip and greatly appreciated. The bathroom was also minuscule but had adequate storage space around the sink and a small shelf for toiletries. The shower was powerful but cruise ship sized. They supplied shower gel from a wall mounted dispenser. Surprisingly they provided a box of facial tissue- none of the 4 star hotels we had stayed in prior to this had tissues. Getting to the toilet took a bit of contortions but it worked well. The breakfast was pretty basic- a choice of breads and pastries, two cheeses and some meats, yogurt, fruit, two cereals. They had a hot water bath if you wanted to boil eggs. Coffee was just a pot of American style coffee - no French coffees were offered. The staff was friendly and helpful. This simply is basic no frills accommodations- good for a one night stopover but too small to tolerate for longer stays.
Welcome to the city of the Dukes of Anjou, the perfect blend of town and country. The Novotel Angers Centre Gare is near the station and castle, with easy access to the city center, convention center and major routes. This is a new hotel in France first green city, with a gym, conference areas, 24-hr catering options, and a team that will make your stay a pleasure.

We came to Angers to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, Ophelia welcomed us beautifully. We were her priority and she provided every courtesy, recognizing we had been traveling for hours. We stayed in the Executive room on the 10th floor. The room was very clean and well appointed with a desk, armchair and separate WC from the shower. The coffee maker and kettle had everything needed for coffee and tea. The bed was so comfortable and the view is absolutely amazing. We then went downstairs for an aperitif and met Lena. She acknowledged us by name immediately and upon request, suggested brunch locations for the next day. Lena made reservations for us and was very thorough in explaining the location to us. In addition, we detailed their plans to decorate our room for our anniversary when we arrived around 1. When we returned our room had hearts laid in the floor, leading a large heart on the bed and a box of chocolates. Very lovely. We could not have asked for a better hotel with a more complete team. Oh - and they had no problem speaking English and it is a 5 minute walk from the train station.

ผผู้เข้าพักWe stayed in the apartment at Foch 21 to attend a nearby wedding & from first booking to departure it was a perfect experience. Easy to book, easy arrangements with Thomas the hotel owner and a perfectly appointed, stylish appointment to use. Ideally located in the centre of Angers, we walked to and from the station (following an easy TGV ride from Paris). Angers itself is a really super town with history, culture & shopping to suit. Easy transport round town with a tram system but easy walking too. Would highly recommend the apartment for a couple or family - would work for two couples who know each other well, but more a family apartment than a two bed to share. Great value as it also allows you to self cater or eat in the hotel or out in the town.
MMark EThe images on the website must have been from years ago when the hotel was first built or when it was last refurbished if it has ever been refurbished. The condition of the hotel fixtures and fittings was very poor and dilapidated. The staff were very welcoming but none of them could speak a word of English. To be fair I can’t speak French but I’m not the host. There was some reason that the roads around the hotel were all closed off, it was either for the market or possibly because the authorities were expecting unrest due to protests over the French elections. This meant we couldn’t drive to the car park by the hotel and had to park a good 0.5km walk away and carry our heavy luggage to the hotel. I appreciate that this was not the hotels fault but they could have let guests know before their arrival instead of us driving round and round trying to find a route to the hotel. We were a group of 4 in 2 cars driving from Northern Spain through France to the UK. We stayed in hotels San Sebastián, Bordeaux, Saint Amelia (chateau) Vanes, and Honfleur staying in hotels everyone of which were superb but whilst the bed was very comfortable that was the only positive about this hotel in Angers.
We had a rental car with us, so having some spaces out front of this hotel to temporarily park our car to unload our luggage to check in was priceless. There is a garage near by just a short walk away. The front desk staff were always friendly. English speaking so that was helpful since our French is very poor. The location is superb. Restaurants, patisserie, small grocery store, café all just steps away. We also walked to visit Chateau Angers and the cathedral from here. No need to drive anywhere. In the early morning, there were street noise noticeable from delivery and road traffic. Some notes for travelers: the hotel did not have AC. Only on the ground level with AC where reception is located. That was tough for the afternoon since it was warm. But once the sun went down, we were able to open the windows to let some cool air in. Also, the hotel does have an elevator, but that is on a floor up. If you are unable to lift luggage or walk stairs, need to keep that in mind. The front desk does assist with luggage if needed.
