Everyone in our group loved the Aloft Hotel. It’s a Marriott Hotel that is new in Anchorage located in Midtown. The rooms are a good size and they are well appointed. All the staff we encountered were friendly and knowledgeable about Anchorage. They readily helped us on several occasions. I definitely recommend this place for Midtown in Anchorage.
Avery clean hotel that was in close proximity of airport. It was not the big planes but the small water planes that flew in and out constantly in the lake neighborhood across the road. very noisy. B-fast was offered but as Courtyard does 17$ No free coffee downstairs as Starbucks was your option. So nothing really great for the price.
Loved the decor, the linens, pillows. They are expanding, bar and restaurant can not wait for that it will be my new favorite! Location one block from mall. Most things are in walking distance. Homeless there are some not fault of the hotel, they are everywhere. Anchorage should provide a safe down town for tourists. Anchorage should also provide good streets in the winter. (I get off my rant what is wrong with Anchorage). Please stay at the Aviator it was clean and like what they had done.
This hotel is centrally located, near everything. It is huge. 3 towers each having 18 floors. Nicely made rooms. Little small bathrooms, but very clean. Nice restaurants and bar. We were on 16th floor and the ocean view was amazing. We stayed only one night. We could have stayed longer.
NnwobDeal's Bed & Breakfast was a wonderful place to stay in Anchorage. I've seen the b&b described as ” staying at grandmas house”; it is and better. So warm and cozy, the B&B was a welcome home at the end of a long plane flight. The owners accommodated our late arrival and departure without issue. The room was big, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom had a tremendous tub and separate shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and of course hand cooked with care and to our liking. The owners are lovely people. Without hesitation, Deal's is highly recommended.
MMark S5 friends stayed Saturday night on our way to Homer for a fishing trip. Rented 5 rooms. All in all it provided us with a comfortable, clean, safe place to stay that was convenient to the airport. Front desk personnel were friendly and offered helpful suggestions to downtown restaurants. We paid $144 per room using ******* which was a great price in comparison to others. All in all good place to stay which we recommend. Enjoyed breakfast, however the eggs were terrible.
We requested a ground room floor because there are no elevators. They offer free shuttle service to the airport and various downtown locations. Our shuttle driver, Anthony was very accommodating and offered suggestions on where to visit and dine. The room was very large and the beds were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was free and delicious. Real scrambled eggs, not egg crumbs like many hotels. All this for about half the price of other hotels in Anchorage. We would definitely stay there again.
Able cook just had to asked for pots coffee pot cups dishes as well for our convenience. Close to McDonald's. While there they ran out of sugar for our coffee, rand out of hot cereal, unable to get hot water because they ran out of cereal, so used our microwave to heat our water get our own hot cereal. Thank goodness McDonald behind the hotel. And Fred Meyers walking distance. As well. Otherwise you workers very friendly and the manager very friendly helping with tips. Tha k you for your hospitality while our visit there.
We were expecting low quality since we booked the cheapest hotel we could find within walking distance of the train depot. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find a clean, quiet hotel with incredibly friendly staff and an around the clock free airport shuttle service. Our airport shuttle driver was particularly friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel especially if you're planning on riding the train, it was a very short walk.
