The hotel was great. Very good quality of the equipment. But the services from the Reception was very unkind. The online booking was not great because they announced in Booking website they are not charge the credit card before the the date of the arrival. But they have tried a lot of time to charge my credit card during more than 1 week then they blocked my bank account because my bank though a tentative of fraud. I paid my bank to unblock and made a new credit card. They said it was to save the room... So they are not really in phase with the information giving on their profile in Booking.com. After that, at our arrival, they tried to charge more than expected my reservation (the amount they blocked in my credit card + the full amount of my entire reservation so more than 420 Euros)

Generally was just Meh … While debatable if I would stay again I think its important to note some positives Pluses- - location was great, its on the other side of the river but the ferry is super easy and it was nice to be separated a little from all the crowds - We didn’t eat breakfast on site (more on that below), but we had a late dinner in the butcher restaurant. It was a nice cap to a long day of walking around and enjoying the sites - The Gym was wonderful and a lot better then we expected - The front desk was responsive to our complaints when we checked out and gave us a discount on our final bill. Negatives - Our room was never properly cleaned. It was a game of craps for what kind of towels we would got, sometimes 1 big one and 4 hand towels, other times 3 medium ones, 1 big one, and zero hand towels. This may seem silly but when you only have one towel between two folks it gets annoying real quick -There was a thick layer of dust on the shelf above the bed, which had to be at least several months to a year old. - You get absolutely no benefits based on your Marriott Status and that should of been made clearer before booking. All design hotels do it differently, so I wasn’t expecting free breakfast but usually you get a room upgrade, late checkout, or sort of some sort of acknowledgment that I have spent 75 nights of my life this year (and counting) in Marriott hotels - The front desk staff was just rude. If you asked for a towel for the gym, it seemed like you had asked for their first born. When I asked about a late check out, before even checking, I was told no. Then when I came back later in the day just to try again, the front desk clerk looked up our room and said it was possible till 1. The following morning at 12:01 they were calling asking why we weren’t out of the room yet… Overall- I’d say it was like staying in a Moxy for about twice the cost. Hotels are not cheap in Amsterdam and this was not an exception to that, but for the price range- I’d expect these basic aspects of a hotel taken care of.

C'était ma pire expérience hôtelière. Nous avons d'abord été invités par le personnel à rentrer dans une maison à première vue assez coquette, avec cependant des toilettes situées uniquement tout en bas, toilettes dont nous avons pu constater par la suite l'extrême saleté et dans laquelle nous avons remarqué une flaque d'un liquide suspect, peut-être de l'eau. Nous avons ensuite pu admirer une salle de bain extrêmement sale, avec des articles de toilettes utilisés. Nous avons ensuite pu voir notre chambre, une chambre sale, avec pour seuls draps un drap housse et une taie d'oreiller, tous deux garnis d'une poussière marron et de cheveux. Nous avions à notre disposition pour nous couvrir quatre couvertures irritantes, sur lesquelles nous avons pu remarquer des traces de terre. La chambre, par ailleurs et outre la literie, était d'une saleté épouvantable. La multiprise était crasseuse, le frigo qui siégeait dans la chambre était répugnant, nous avons également pu trouver de la cendre par terre! Vous pourrez par ailleurs faire la connaissance d'un certain nombre de colocataires insectes aux multiples pattes, ce qui est, une fois de plus, fort déplaisant. Outre cette saleté répugnante, n'espérez pas trouver dans cet immonde taudis un quelconque calme: la maison se trouve à côté d'un garage automobile, dont on peut en admirer la cour par la fenêtre! Vous aurez donc l'occasion d'entendre un orchestre de bruits de voiture et de cris incessants avec une isolation sonore très faible. Pour ce qui est du bruit, vous aurez également l'occasion d'entendre le son permanent de l'eau qui coule le long des tuyaux des radiateurs, presque aussi agaçants que les ronflements du voisin de la chambre d'à coté, semblables au bruit d'une tronçonneuse au démarrage. Celui-ci fera des aller-retours incessants durant lesquels il ouvrira sa porte puis la fermera à clé, laissant entendre le bruit cacophonique d'un trousseau de clés se balançant dans les mains d'un homme au gestes violents quand il ferme une porte. Le pire, c'est que ces aller-retours ne sont pas anodins: l'homme monte et descend pour pouvoir redémarrer le courant! Eh oui! en l'espace de 5 heures, nous avons eu droit à pas moins de 4 coupures de courant! Nous qui avions passé la journée dans la ville, nous pouvions à peine brancher nos téléphones pour avoir un peu de batterie! Sur ces belles paroles, si je devais ajouter quelque chose de positif, j'énoncerai deux points: les matelas étaient plutôt confortables, ceux ne sont pas eux qui m'ont donné de la difficulté à dormir, et le personnel était agréable avec nous, pour le peu de temps ou nous les avons vus.
