|0.25km กม.จากตัวเมืองWe LOVED this hotel, and wish we’d been able to stay much longer. The staff was extremely helpful, the room was lovely, but oh, oh, oh, the private terrace was HEAVEN! After negotiating stairs for the past two weeks to our rooms at various inns and hotels across Belgium, my husband could finally relax and not worry about tumbling down a staircase. There was only one step down to the room area. The front desk personnel were cheerful, knowledgeable, and very responsive to our needs. Breakfast was delicious and there was a lot to choose from. Best of all, it is super quiet here, even though the hotel is literally one street over from Grote Markt and all the attractions in the Old Town. We packed in a lot of sight-seeing, museums, and even visited the Diamond District before we had to leave. We would highly recommend Hotel Rubens.

I scored it a 1 because actually the front of house staff are really good, welcoming, helpful and friendly. Here goes the rest ……. Hotel is located between 2 building sites not their fault but links to other issues which are the hotels fault. So the noise from the building sites and also the road if you are staying in a room on road side is awful from around 5 in the morning through to about 11pm This resulted in me having to not only sleep wearing ear plugs but also taking sleeping tablets. Don’t expect a good sleep. A colleague was staying at the rear of the building and unless you are on a higher floor then the noise from the smoking area with people talking and drinking is also deafening. I had a spacious room with a mezzanine floor which was roomy but very tired and need of a revamp. The huge issue with the room is the heat. The shower room is upstairs so fills the bedroom area with steam and the window downstairs only cools the living area, or fills the room with fumes from the traffic on the road. The hotel advertises air conditioning and there are units in the room but they refuse to turn them on even with requests. This is just being cheap and rude. Again due to the noise from the road and building sites it’s impossible to sleep with the window open. So not only limited sleep but a very hot n sweaty night. Then the internet connection….. oh wow ! It does not exist. Again the hotel advertises free fast Wi-Fi but it’s shocking. Impossible to connect and watch anything. Myself and a number of my colleagues complained only to be told there is no issue. I did a speed test and shared with the hotel only to get no feedback. I also shared with a friend who works in IT and he said it’s simple ….. they pay for a really cheap package so it can’t cope for a hotel. Of course the hotel staff say it’s no problem because during the day all the guests are out. If you get a room for 20 euro a night it’s probably ok but any more than that go somewhere else

|0.93km กม.จากตัวเมือง2 rooms connected with a door was a great way to have a group of people of 5 together at all times! Both kitchens had everything you ever needed to make yourself a perfect meal. Oven/Micro, fridge, dishwasher, capsule coffee maker. Fully loaded with tools and dishes! The beds were terrific! Fluffy and smooth. The bathrooms were great, the showers had an overhead faucet and a handheld one. The pressure was perfect. The receptionists were well prepared and very pleasant, and we got all the info for a perfect stay. Only downside with having two rooms was that we couldn't figure out how to make the door between the two rooms open. So we used some clever engineering to solve this issue. We never asked about this issue, because we fixed it with a doorstopper of our own. The price for 3 night stay was very well perfect! Will definitely come back again.

|2.39km กม.จากตัวเมืองThis was our second stay at August. Although we loved the first time, the second time left a lot to be desired for. The service level at this hotel is almost non existent. We arrived quite late after being stuck in traffic (around 9 PM), and we checked in and then around 9:15 came to the bar to look at the food menu. We were met with a very unfriendly waiter who had no interest in answering any questions about the menu or anywhere nearby to eat telling us that he had only been here for six weeks and didn't know anything, most importantly he did not tell us that the kitchen closed at 9:30 PM. So we deliberated about whether to eat at the bar or go elsewhere (bear in mind, there aren't many places to eat near by as they all seem to close early on a Sunday). When we came back at 9:30, the waiter told us that good that we wanted to eat but too bad the kitchen was now closed and he seemed to be taking a joy out of it. We were told by him when asked that there was no room service for food. Only drinks were served as room service. Considering it wasn't that late, this hotel should have some facilities in place for a light snack for guests. Also, at the reception, we complained that we were not told by the guy that they would be closing soon and they told us to try deliveroo. In the end my husband asked them if there was anything we could have that didn't need to be cooked, we were given some fruit which we ate and went to bed. I had written a complaint to their manager and they replied after 22:30 to tell me that if I was still hungry, the hotel actually does provide pizzas! News to me as I was told there was no food. No manager was to be seen and we never heard from anyone after I made a complaint about the incident. This spoilt our stay, especially when we had detoured to stay here. Our room was lovely. Although the room's bathroom door makes a lot of noise. Anyway, it would be great for staff to know the options they have for food for guests, someone should follow up after a complaint is sent and if there is no food option, perhaps the hotel should have a deliveroo account which can be charged to the room should there be any need to order food at 9:30 PM after kitchen closes.

During the cold winter it could be a bit cold in rooms due to not so good heat isolation, but I stayed here in pretty warm spring and no problem. Everything is clean, staff nice and helpful. A place to stay again when I am back in Antwerp. ❤️

Some of the best service I've experienced. from the welcoming reception to the complementary mini bar they do all the little things right. I had a classic room that overlooked the charming courtyard. It was quite large with high ceilings for the most basic room. every room has a unique style and mine fit me perfectly. The 2 Australian sisters who run the hotel could not be more friendly. Location is just far enough off Cathedral and Grote market to be peaceful but close enough to be there in a few minutes walk. Only minor complaint breakfast is bit sp****. Hidden Gem

We booked this hotel at the last minute - accommodation has started to become a little more in demand - so finding a place was difficult. Parking is out the front of the hotel and is free. We arrived and we were greeted by Anduela who was wonderful and very helpful, she explained we just need to jump on a tram (again directly out the front of the hotel) No.1 to Opera and we are in the middle of Antwerp. She was able to sell us a ticket for the tram/bus/train (it's all the same). The surrounding hotel area is not inviting, and the hotel is basic, but these things outweigh the convenience of access to Antwerp. Anduela was a joy.

|1.29km กม.จากตัวเมืองFriendly counter and allowed to go to my twin room 4 hours early. Very clean hotel with towels and water supplied. No kettle but I think this must Bea Belgian thing. The station is opposite but it is 20 min walk to the old town. Fine for me but some may want to be nearer. The walk there is the main shopping street. Overall I think it was great value. As a note to other guests, and I always write this, please be more considerate when talking in the corridors especially before 8am. Whisper, your voice echoes and sound meds like you’re shouting. And don’t allow to doors to slam shut!!

|0.9km กม.จากตัวเมืองEl hotel esta muy céntrico todo queda prácticamente andando, a 4 minutos de la central de trenes de Amberes, justo fuera del hotel esta la estación del autobus Flixbus que lleva y trae del aeropuerto, el centro de la ciudad está a tiro de piedra, justo en la esquina esta una tienda Jumbo con precios accesibles, las habitaciones son pequeñas, cuentan con cafetera e insumos para preparar café, secador de cabello, plancha y tabla de planchar, nos alojamos en la habitación 103 con vista a la opera, el desayuno es muy bueno consta de huevo con tocino, fruta fresca, yogurth, café, té, pan recién horneado, insumos para preparar sandwiches, frutos secos y cereales, ademas se cuenta con opción a preparar waffles, el único inconveniente que durante 6 días solo nos colocaron 1 botella de 500 ml de agua en la habitación y que en el comedor muchas cosas se encuentran colocadas bastante altas y resulta algo incomodo para personas de estatura baja, como sugerencia sería bueno que cuenten con personal que hable español ya que cada vez más las personas que hablamos este idioma visitamos Europa y sería un alago que nuestro idioma se vuelva internacional.

It was amazing - the decor, the facilities, the books, the communal work table for digital nomads, the compemporary furnishings, the stylish bathrooms, super kitchen ( with named plastic boxes for ythe fridge) plants and flowers, the roof terrace, the internal gardens, the green walls, the extras ( free quality ontap teas/coffees, the towels, the ear plugs etc) , the bicycles for rent and the super efficent and helpful staff. I didin't try the restaurant but the breakfast looked good. . I am looking forward to visiting their new venue in Liege and , when it is open - Brussels

The hotel is excellently located, within a stone's throw from the Grand Central Station - so ideal for accessing local destinations. The rooms are excellent quality - with good quality furnishings. The only exception to this is the bathroom mirror, which has a light which dangles from cord in front of the mirror, rather than being placed at a spot where the light effectively illuminates your face as you look in the mirror. Fortunately, I always bring my own illuminating mirror when I go travelling, for this kind of eventuality! The service was very good, and I like the touch where you can opt out of having your room cleaned and towels exchanged if staying 2N or more, in return for a free drinks voucher. The price is good also, was certainly among the more reasonably priced hotels in the city. Would definitely return!!! 100%.

Am liebsten würde man es gar nicht verlassen und das ganze Wochenende dort verbringen. Aber Antwerpen hat einfach zu viel zu bieten, das wäre wirklich schade, sich die Sights nicht anzuschauen. Aber vor ihrem Walk durch die Stadt (vom Hotel aus sind alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in max. 20 Minuten gut zu Fuss erreichbar) lockt das sensationell bestückte Frühstücks-Buffet. Mit feinen a la Carte Speisen als Ergänzung. Allein die Eggs Benedict - to die for! Nach dem Walk durch die City lockt dann die Bar, die schon jetzt einer der Hot Spots der Stadt ist. Da können Sie froh sein, wenn noch ein gemütliches Plätzchen frei ist. Und wem danach noch der Sinn nach Sauna und Schwimmen steht - für den steht der grosse Indoor Pool samt Saunabereich bereit. Schöner kann ein Tag in Antwerpen eigentlich kaum sein, als hier im wunderschönen neuen Botanic Sanctuary!
