La ubicación es perfecta. Esta en plena zona de restaurantes y bares de Getsemaní. El personal fue amable, el desayuno muy rico y siempre nos hicieron limpieza en el cuarto. La relación precio calidad es excelente. Recomiendo mucho este hotel y si vuelvo a Cartagena y quiero estar en Getsemaní sin duda me hospedería nuevamente acá. Mi única sugerencia para el hotel es que pongan una canasta para echar basura en el cuarto y que tengan una neverita en el cuarto para poder poner agua, cerveza y bebidas. Aunque nos facilitaron la nevera de la cocina para guardarlas.

Stayed three nights at the Madisson, and it was the definition of adequate. A/C in the room worked well, and the included breakfast was a bit sp**** but had the necessary elements. The complimentary shuttle to town is not allowed to be used by people checking out. I was not informed of this until trying to board the shuttle when I was blocked and made to pay for a hotel taxi which only goes to the airport. Keep this in mind when planning to leave the resort. The all-inclusive does not include snacks at many of the cafés and also does not include café drinks like cappuccinos. Those all cost extra. Much of the staff speaks little or no English so it was hard to understand what the staff were saying. Pools and beach close way too early, beach closes before sunset and pools close before dinner has even started. Don't expect to take any moonlight walks on the beach either, as they post security to keep everyone out. The beach has a VIP area, but it is very similar to the normal area. Both the beach and pool have beds for all guests. Restaurants do not serve appetizers or desserts, those are both buffet style from a buffet split across all three dinner restaurants. Additionally the native food restaurant is not open to eat inside, instead it uses the same venue as the breakfast buffet. I was informed that the tennis courts are closed, the gym is still open though. The beach bar and poolside bar are really just one bar which is located away from the beach and outside the pool area. TVs in the room do not accept USB or wireless input so remember to bring your HDMI cords. Slow service at the breakfast buffet and dinner, though the food was good. The rooms were very nice and spacious, I had the Junior Suite. AC worked perfectly. Laundry service is extremely costly, over 80 USD for one load of laundry. The spa has many services and is priced pretty similarly to other spas in Cartagena. Option to book a room with a private hot tub is only available on their website, from what I can find. (The company website, not the specific hotel's website) I would only recommend this resort at the 55% discount I got when booking it.

This hotel is clean. The staff are friendly. It is situated very near to the airport and about 20 minutes outside of the town. There is a nice and small pool on the roof where you can order simple food and various alcoholic drinks. Breakfast was not to our liking at all. There was no buffet and waitresses knew no English so we relied on Google translate. The breakfast menu was very limited with no vegetables although a small bowl of fruit, which appeared to have been cut from the previous day, was available. Hot drinks in the form of thermoses of coffee, chocolate and hot water, with different flavoured teas were available. The bedroom - ours had a balcony with 2 plastic chairs - was clean and tidy with a good view to the sea and planes taking off It was extremely basic. No glasses for toothbrush and toothpaste in the bathroom. There was no way to make a hot drink in the bedroom. There was a small fridge.

Three things lowered the grade for this hotel: location, dining, and poor wifi. Be warned, this Holiday Inn on Manga is not near the main spots. Getsemani is about a 30-minute walk and Bocagrande is a car ride away. The hotel is located in a business district within sight of the port and the cruise ship terminal. While it is quiet and very safe, you'll be walking or taking taxis to go anywhere interesting. The hotel's restaurant only serves breakfast. You are on your own for lunch and dinner. There are a few restaurants about 10 to 20 minutes' walk away. They do have a small store where you can buy snacks and drinks, but nothing substantial. I'm not sure if this is the result of Covid, but it can be a problem unless you eat while you are out. I found the wifi was hit and miss especially on the floors below reception. This hotel's reception is on the 10th floor and the rooms are on floors below. I understand the internet in Colombia is barely 10 mb/s, but it would seem more nests might be the solution to help boost the signal. The Good The staff are very friendly. They are very nice and welcoming. The general manager takes time to chat with guests and introduce himself which is a practice I have rarely seen in hotels. There is a small swimming pool on the 10th floor with views of the city and the flight path to the airport which is on the other side of La Popa. It would not take much for this hotel to be a great hotel. An express lunch or dinner on offer would make things better. It is clear that this hotel caters to a business demographic, but it will do in a pinch for tourists, especially if you won't want to stay in the party zones.

I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The staff is always nice and helpful. Rooms are exactly as shown on their website. Wifi was good. They buzz you in and out of the hotel which I liked for security reasons. The area around the hotel is very good and safe. Lots of shops, resturants, and even a grocery store. ( ATM's in grocery store, 2nd flr). Its centrally located and easy to walk to all the historical sites. The front desk attendant Cindy was a dream. She was always so helpful, polite and courteous. She booked a massage for me and they even picked me up from the hotel. Cindy also helped me with getting a covid test for my return to the US at the hotel. Area around the hotel was safe especially with me being a solo female traveler. Would definitely stay here again.

I had a very pleasant stay at Patio de Getsemani. The place is beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast very good, and above all the staff is very friendly and helpful. Patio de Getsemani is located inside the old city's wall, in the area of Getsemani which is very enjoyable (several cool bars and restaurants, beautiful streetart, nice streetlife...) and safe, close the historical center by walk (a safe walk). I totally recommend to stay at Patio de Getsemani !
