Wua Lai Chiang Mai|0.91km from city center
Snugged in a corner of a residential area is this gorgeous hotel that matches its name - White. Two 4 storey buildings and an open pool area make up this comfortable hotel with big huge rooms! Don't expect too much variety for your breakfast but it is sufficient! The location of the hotel is relatively near to (within 10 mins walk): 1) Chiang Mai Gate Market, 2) Anusarn Market, 3) Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, and 4) Wau Lai Walking Street by the river of Mae Kha Canal. You'll have to take time and walk around this area. If you stay around here for more than 3 days, you will find that this area has many little shops and restaurants littered all around that serves fabulous food at very affordable prices! Enjoy your stay! God bless! 😁👍👌✝️❤️

Great location and comfortable rooms. Didn't bother with breakfast as so many quality restaurants in the area. Construction noise opposite during the day less than ideal.

Huay Kaew Chiang Mai|2.85km from city center
Hotel is lovely. It sits down a dark alley so if you walk, you either walk the alley or go through a breezeway through the lobby of the hotel next door. Coin Laundry facilities in the breezeway area

This is a large hotel with lovely entrance, staff on the whole are very pleasant We got a corner room which is huge with separate lounge , so roomy for the price. It has seating, dining and bedroom areas which all could do with fresh paint and touch up, the carpet is covered in stains and the shower has mould which puts you off. The dressing area needs painting as marks everywhere and new hair dryer required as this one has seen its day. The bed is big and comfortable so that’s good, unfortunately as previous people have said air con very noisy and have trouble sleeping. We are staying for four nights but I wish I had only booked a couple. The breakfast is limited. If they freshen up room I would come again

Area north of the old city Chiang Mai|1.56km from city center
The hotel is located just outside the old city on the north west corner just outside the hotel is a bar but it’s not noisy and on the same complex a kfc and Pizza Hut. Just along the road is a little street food market which has some cheap and nice food. The hotel is nice and clean and rooms cleaned every day they is a gym but it’s not very big but decent size weights to use. Only noticed the day we checked out the windows in the room didn’t shut correctly so had a slight gap but we didn’t get any insects in the room on a night but overall a nice stays.

Night Bazaar Area Chiang Mai|0.57km from city center
A decent place in Chiang Mai for a budget hotels and dormitories. We booked the private room with our own bathroom. Only complaint was the bed mattress was worn out and only one pillow was provided for each bed. I like the breakfast especially the provided soup broth. Its location was perfect, within easy walking distance to Tha Pae Gate, Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, and many other services including a laundry service across the street.

Nimmanhaemin Road Area Chiang Mai|2.63km from city center
While the two-night stay was satisfactory, there's room for improvement. The lobby staff should be trained to decline requests gracefully, offering alternative solutions. Additionally, the afternoon shift should prioritize guest interactions over phone calls. It was observed that a staff member during the two-night stay exhibited similar behavior, neglecting guests and failing to acknowledge those passing through the lobby.

Chiang Mai Ancient City Chiang Mai|0.53km from city center
A truly unforgettable first trip to Chiang Mai, all thanks to Chala Number 6. This was my first time staying at a boutique hotel, and it completely exceeded my expectations. When our driver dropped us by the roadside, I was briefly unsure—there was no typical drop-off area, and the hotel was nestled beside a school. I started worrying if I’d made the right choice, especially with my mom traveling with me. But those doubts vanished the moment the bellboy crossed the street to greet us and carry our bags. From that point on, everything was seamless. Our room was ready before the official check-in time (bonus point right there 🍪). The grounds are beautifully landscaped and incredibly Instagram-worthy. Traditional music plays softly in the background, creating a calming, almost spiritual atmosphere. One of the biggest surprises? Complimentary afternoon tea from 2pm to 4pm. I’m usually not a fan of traditional desserts, but theirs were so thoughtfully curated and visually stunning—some even reminded me of Nyonya kuih from home. Breakfast was simple but included local Thai items. One dish made from sticky rice, coconut milk, and egg wrapped in banana leaves brought back memories for my mom—it tasted just like her childhood. It rained almost every day during our stay, and at night we could hear the sounds of nature—croaking toads and gentle rainfall. My mom said it felt like we had traveled back in time. There’s also a temple right across the road. As someone who’s a little superstitious, I found comfort in that peaceful presence 😅. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better. The Sunday Market literally starts at the hotel’s doorstep, and there’s a 7-Eleven just a 2-minute walk away. A few minutes further is Lila Thai Massage—I didn’t get to try it myself, but I’ve heard nothing but great reviews. Chala Number 6 made this mother-daughter trip so special. I’m truly grateful for the kind service, the thoughtful details, and the peaceful atmosphere. The price? Well worth it. Thank you, Chala Number 6, for taking such good care of us. We’ll remember this stay for a long time. 🙇♀️

Traveling with family and friends, we booked two separate reservations for the hotel. I've already reviewed the first one, so I won't go into too much detail here. I just want to add that the swimming pool is exceptionally clean, and the kids absolutely loved it!
