We arrived first thing in the morning after travelling for 24 hours and were greeted at the gate with cold drinks. Our luggage was taken straight to a secure room, we were shown to the breakfast buffet and then taken to a well equipped shower/changing room so that we could start our holiday immediately. I would recommend having a small bag packed with everything you need. Check in wasn’t until 1400 but our room was ready much earlier and this was greatly appreciated. We had a partial sea view room which was above one of the swim up rooms. The room was spacious and had everything we needed, a large comfortable bed with a mattress topper, a powerful shower and a nice balcony. We visited the lovely ladies in the bulk shop every day to get supplies of freshly ground coffee, local vanilla tea, cold drinks and snacks for our room. The staff at the hotel were the friendliest and most helpful of anywhere we have ever stayed. They made the trip really special. They could not do enough to ensure that we were happy and had everything we needed each day. I would have loved to be able to thank everyone individually but there were so many people that we met each day, from every team, that we loved chatting with. We were ‘All Inclusive’ and were really pleased we chose this option. The choice of food and drinks was so extensive that it never occurred to us to order anything supplemented. We enjoyed the juices, mocktails and cocktails at the bars, we loved having drinks at the bar in the pool on hot afternoons and the cold drinks from the cart by the beach were very welcome. The local lychee rosé wine was delicious with our evening meals. The food is superb and really made our trip. We enjoyed the breakfast buffets of fresh fruit, cereals, hot and cold foods. Curry for breakfast was a real novelty for us! We will particularly miss the vegan pancakes with banana jam. Where we ate lunch depended on what activities we had planned during the day but all options were great - the buffet at The Social House, the menu at the Papaya Bar and the street food at Taba J (fantastic!) The evening meals were excellent. An extensive buffet at The Market with lots of fish and vegan options. We ate at the Kot Nou twice and were really pleased we were able to try the traditional Mauritian dishes- delicious! Our favourite option was the tapas at The Social House and we ate here three times. Both the Kot Nou and The Social House need to be booked at least 24 hours in advance but availability was never a problem for us. There are lots of activities available for anyone who wants to participate. We enjoyed yoga, tai chi, meditation and Secret Sunrise. Our favourite was the glass bottomed boat and afternoon snorkelling trip that we did many times. We had full body massages at the Spa at the beginning of our stay and this was a great way to relax, unwind and recover from our journe

On arrival the hotel is really beautiful - a small oasis tucked away with gorgeous colonial style. The reception staff were really lovely and made us feel welcome.
The room was really nice - but there were a few things we noticed (which we let slide at the start) - massive dirty lipstick mark on one of our water glasses, filthy lampshades above the bathroom sinks, bed linen that didn’t feel particularly fresh and the robes as well had a slight greyish colour rather than bright white which they were meant to be. These were all minor things at the start which we didn’t even mention to each other but did notice.
We then had our first night at the cocktail bar where our drink was served by the lovely barman (very polite and smily) - as we were drinking we saw a huge rat run across the terrace - we decided it was an island and maybe this is normal (although we really weren’t happy about it). We then were dining within the restaurant and again a huge rat was running towards the table. For us, this is not ok. We asked to move tables as we saw a rat and the waiters barely acknowledged it - didn’t offer any apology and then proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of the night. We informed the manager the next day who assured us he was aware and the rat had been caught, and to “give it a chance”. We weren’t offered so much as a complimentary drink. After dining in the restaurant again the second night and again seeing a rat - for us it was time to check out. Not only is it unpleasant seeing rodents running around while eating but I would say it’s a hygiene issue and makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen and the safety of the food.
The only concession we were offered was to not pay for the remaining nights that we would not be staying for.
Really disappointing. On hindsight some things we would add about the whole experience:
- Not a 5 star in terms of food, service or cleanliness
- Staff really hit and miss - some very friendly some really rude and unhelpful
- Rooms didn’t feel clean
- Food was average - nothing felt fresh including breakfast
- Quite stingey with water - water not replaced within our room (had to ask for it)
We are now staying at a different hotel and haven’t seen one rat, so don’t think this is “just an island thing” as the manager stated. The service and food are also worlds apart which has really solidified that our review of 20 degres sud as completely justified - not a 5 star experience whatsoever.

|29.39km กม.จากตัวเมืองWhere shall I start...Our stay way pretty perfect! Most of you know Mauritius for the big hotel areas, so it was an absolute miracle that we found this lil gem on the island. We had a wonderful 9 days at the SALT of Palmar. We loved that it was super tiny, and very familiar, every corner had a special detail and the service was superb. The staff really makes you feel at home. If you are looking for a Mandarin Oriental Standard, then this won't be the right one. But what this hotel had, is a lot of soul and personality. Rooms: Book a room with a sea view. We had one, but I would say that that's the magic of it. You will realize quite fast that the hotel is refurbished, so here and there you see that it's not 100% up to date, but it really doesn't matter. The rooms were super clean, and spacious and had a great personalized interior. Housekeeping in the morning and also for turndown service did a great job. Thanks to the team! You will see that TV is missing and also Mini-Bars, but that's why you have chosen a Lil boutique hotel over a big chain. Beach: The beach is beautiful, clean, and located around the corner, so u don't get the feeling that it's getting crowded with too many guests, what I loved. The pool is nice, but there could be more sunbeds. Be aware that you are on the eastern side, so when u arrive in August or September, it's very windy and may get chilly. While in November, you will be happy to have the breeze. Snorkelling: Yes, you can snorkel, and you will see fish. But don't expect reef-like on the Maledives for sure. Food: ONE OF A KIND. If you are looking for endless buffets and a big choice just to look at, this won't be your cup of tea. The food was just amazing. Very individualized menu, a big variety. We didn't eat twice the same. The breakfast menu was outstanding and so was the coffee (which usually always sucks in hotels). Nevertheless, you have to say that if you wanna dishes outside the included menu or wines, they are quite expensive (even for Europeans). The only experience, where we were not really stunned, was the cocktails at any point. Watery, not really strong etc. Foodservice: A very big thanks to the service team. you made our experience stunning, also the way you took care of my parents and everything around my mom's birthday. OUr warmest thanks to Vidusha!! But also to Vinesh, Med, Vajna and Vashish (I Hope I got the names right) We hop to see you soon!

All of the staff that we came into contact with went out of their way to provide true Mauritian hospitality at its best! A highly recommended resort for couples and families.
The rooms were well-maintained with a clear sea view and a view of the plunge pool. The quality of food, upkeep of the restaurants and all public spaces were immaculate!
Many exciting water activities that were complementary with our stay as well as various themes provided at dinner time to keep guests entertained. Kevin and his team will be sure that you leave with the biggest smile on your face after each meal!

With his innate knack for arranging romantic breakfasts and dinners in our room, his charismatic presence as he drove us around the resort in his buggy, and his assertiveness that ensured all our needs were met, he was instrumental in making our holiday complete. His personable demeanor is a true credit to the hotel. Our appreciation extends to the room service team as well. Koomar, Veenaye, Joanne, Tarvesh, Nitesh, and Sanjeev all contributed to facilitating a seamless and unforgettable experience. Their collective attention to detail, promptness, and friendly demeanor were remarkable. However, the standout personality and the heart of the Constance Belle Mare Plage was Kris. You will find him on the beach, armed with an unbeatable selection of cocktail recommendations. His mixology skills are top-notch, and his engaging conversations coupled with a fantastic sense of humor made our beach days exceptionally memorable. Kris was not only an employee of the hotel but became a friend who enriched our stay. Nous avons été admirablement ravis de nos deux semaines passées à l’hôtel Oberoi - Mauritius et ne pouvons que le recommander à tous ceux qui cherchent de la détente, dans un environnement paradisiaque et dans une structure luxueuse, avec un haut niveau de services. L’évasion commence tout juste après la réservation, à quelque 9’000km de là. L’équipe de la réception et de la conciergerie s’est montrée réactive et très à l’écoute pour organiser notre séjour avant notre arrivée. Vinay, le chauffeur, sera le premier visage de l’Oberoi que nous rencontrons. Durant le trajet depuis l’aéroport, dans une luxueuse berline, il nous plonge dans l’ambiance mauricienne et nous présente l’hôtel avec éloquence, ce qui laisse présager le meilleur. Il nous tend sa carte de visite, se rendant disponible pour les jours à venir. Arrivés à l’hôtel, un accueil personnalisé avec check-in directement dans votre villa : l’exclusivité (c’est ça, le vrai luxe !) se fait sentir et règnera pour le reste du séjour. Le personnel a veillé à notre confort de manière très professionnelle, tout en conservant une chaleur humaine : on se sent comme à la maison, en famille presque, avec néanmoins toujours la distance requise. Nous nous sommes sentis considérés et cela constitue l’une des forces de l’établissement. |19.2km กม.จากตัวเมืองWe have just spent 2 weeks at the Shandrani . On the good side the location is beautiful and there are long beaches opening onto both lagoon and sea. Many of the staff are friendly and helpful and the grounds and facilities are well kept. Against this some of the hotel is looking very tired and in need of renovation. We were in a superior room which was a good size but the furniture and bathroom was showing its age and needs refurbishing. The food was disappointing. Meals are offered either in the main buffet restaurant with a confused offering and little fresh fruit and vegetables. There are 5 a la carte restaurants that have to be booked in advance . There is a very opaque booking system that desperately needs modernising-and seems to ration demand .Quite a variable menu but the food is rather bland and repetitive. The Le Sirius Bar and Restaurant has a great location set at the far end of the peninsula and we found better staffing and a good atmosphere and more variety at lunch and dinner-it also serves breakfast when it is very quiet and peaceful. One highlight is the excellent wine list with a wide choice to select for all AI residents. Evening entertainment was universally good but extraordinarily for a very lively set of guests all goes quiet at 22.30! Beachcomber need to seriously look at upgrading and modernising the hotel. This is definitely a 4star hotel not 5 -but we enjoyed our stay thanks to great weather and some very special members of staff who went the extra mile.

|33.59km กม.จากตัวเมืองAmazing little place! Yanish and the colleagues on front of house were very welcoming and helpful during all of our stay, every interaction we had with them was positive. The room was very spacious, the shower was absolutely huge, and the varanda facing the pool area was great. The facilities were very clean, rooms and communal areas always spot on. We got our stay with breakfast included and it was delicious, both options (continental and english) were tasty and good size for a plated meal. Team working in the restaurant was efficient and welcoming, ensuring the food got to us straight from the kitchen. Beach right in front of the hotel is a bit rocky, but if you walk less than 1 minute you have a perfect spot. Amazing place, highly recommend it. Just a few suggestions: The place the bed frame as it wasn't in a good shape Extractor fan in the toilet not working properly Softer shower towels (the ones for the pool were super soft, but for the shower weren't)

We e joy a lot me my wife and the boys, food was very nice for breakfast varieties of foods, big thanks to the kitchen staff Great jobs, special thanks to Madame Etiennette and Mr Beichoo, from Reception. Great service from them. Swimming pools great my boys enjoy a lot, especially the jacuzzi. Rooms superb 👌 👏 very clean and decoration and the setup itself with the room are just excellent. Hats off.
