Excelente ubicación, excelente, trato y servicio por todo el personal, especialmente por el recepcionista que está por las mañanas y que sabe hablar español. Su amabilidad y su atención: excepcional, el que tenga piscina, aunque sea pequeñita, para darse un chapuzón sobre todo en verano, con el calor que hace, es un punto importante a tener en cuenta, y aunque he leído que no avisan de que no tiene ascensor y que muchos casos, como a nosotros, te mandan al segundo piso con muchos escalones, es cierto, pero también ellos te suben y te bajan las maletas. Sin duda, repetiré en este Hotel en mi próximo viaje a Florencia .

We stayed at Agriturismo Podere l’Aione during our Tuscany road trip, and overall it was a pleasant stay with warm hospitality, but there is one important point future guests should know. First, the positives. The property itself is very charming and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful Tuscan countryside. The compound is spacious and relaxing, and the small cottage-style rooms feel cosy and private. The rooms appear fairly new (the property is only about four years old) and have modern amenities with a proper heating system, which made the stay comfortable. Parking inside the compound is also very convenient and safe. The hospitality was excellent. The owner’s daughter who welcomed us was very friendly, helpful and lovely. The lady attending breakfast was also incredibly warm and attentive, making the morning experience very pleasant. The people running the place truly make guests feel welcome. However, the main reason for our feedback is that the first photo shown in the listing does not appear to be this property. The image appears twice in the listing and shows a much larger estate with a very big swimming pool and a different compound layout. We booked the stay thinking it was that beautiful estate shown in the photos and were excited to experience that setting. When we arrived, we realised the accommodation is actually a smaller white cottage-style agriturismo, which is still beautiful, but quite different from the property shown in the first images. The one I uploaded the first two picture does not belong to this property. We were quite disappointed. Some more, it is the first image listed in this property, so we thought it is but if not. Because of this, it felt a little misleading at first as we kept wondering where that particular property in the photos was. In terms of pricing, similar agriturismo stays in this region with comparable cottage-style rooms can often be found for around SGD150 per night. However, we paid over SGD250+ which is roughly about 40% higher, because we believed we were booking the property shown in the main photo with the large swimming pool and grand compound. To be clear, the place itself is lovely, cosy, peaceful and well maintained, and the hospitality is wonderful. Our only suggestion would be for the management to update the listing photos so they accurately represent the actual property, which will help future guests have the right expectations. A small note for guests with mobility concerns: since the compound is quite spread out, you may need to walk a short distance and take a few steps to reach some of the cottages. Overall, it is still a charming countryside stay with very kind hosts, but the listing photos should better reflect the actual property

The hotel design is very traditional and beautiful. Room is very clean and very comfortable with design ! Breakfast was superb in terms of Europe standard. Staffs are super friendly and helpful during the stay and we hope we will stay at this hotel soon.

Ho soggiornato all’Hotel Continental per una notte il 16 agosto e ho trovato la mia esperienza mista. Sebbene sia un hotel a 4 stelle, ho notato alcune aree che potrebbero beneficiare di una ristrutturazione. Posizione e servizi: La posizione dell'hotel è sicuramente un punto a favore, essendo direttamente sul mare e dotato di una grande piscina. Tuttavia, ho riscontrato un inconveniente riguardo al servizio in spiaggia. Non mi era stato comunicato che era disponibile solo fino alle 12:00 del giorno seguente. Questo dettaglio è stato svelato dalla bagnina, che mi ha informato che avrei dovuto pagare per una mezza giornata se avessi voluto rimanere in spiaggia fino alle 16:00, quando ho dovuto lasciare la struttura. Camera e pulizia: La camera era piuttosto piccola e ho notato che i vetri delle finestre erano sporchi, il che non ha contribuito a una buona impressione al mio arrivo. Title: Disappointing Experience That Didn’t Match the Photos I booked a Premium room specifically because the listing photos showed blue-sky views and a golden dome. However, upon arrival I was assigned a room on the first floor facing a dark, rundown alley—nothing like the images. The bathroom also didn’t match the photos: it was much smaller, with virtually no counter space. When I raised this with the hotel, I was told I hadn’t booked a “Premium room with view.” At the time of booking, my only options were: a cheaper “Deluxe,” a more expensive “Premium,” and a “Suite.” As a guest, I relied on the photos shown for the Premium category, which all featured a view. The mismatch felt misleading. I asked about changing rooms, but was told the hotel was fully booked and that they had already given me a “larger” room of 20 m². The stated size range for the Premium room is 18–23 m², so this didn’t resolve the core issue—the lack of the view shown in the photos. After persistent requests, I was offered a second-floor room in another building without an elevator. That room had a larger bathroom but a smaller bedroom, and the window opened directly onto exhaust vents. It wasn’t a viable alternative. Overall, this was a disappointing experience for a five-star property. While staff were polite in manner, the room assignment and photo discrepancy felt misleading, and there was no practical solution offered despite the hotel being aware of the issue. To add to the frustration, I later noticed my luggage had been dented. In summary: the Premium room I received did not match the advertised images—especially the view and bathroom—and the lack of clear labeling (e.g., “with view” vs. “no view”) led to unmet expectations. I hope the hotel updates its listings to accurately reflect room types and views so future guests can book with confidence.

Check-in is done at the machine at the front desk. If you booked through Trip, you'll receive a check-in email a few days before your arrival; your booking number will be in the email. After getting your room key, pick up your bedding (sheets, pillowcases, and duvet cover) at the front desk, and then make your bed yourself. The room and bathroom are quite nice. Each bed has a metal locker for luggage; you'll need to bring your own lock. Towels are available for rent for €1.99, payable at the front desk. The location isn't at Florence's main train station, but it's only one stop (8 minutes) get the train, hostel just across the street from the train station. It's about a 30-minute walk to the cathedral.
