The mixing of high-risk items such as pasta and mince meat, along with the combination of new and old food items, posed a significant health hazard. Consequently, multiple guests, including my daughter, became ill with severe stomach issues and frequent trips to the restroom. Despite informing the staff about the improper food handling, our concerns were disregarded. The quality of the food and beverages was subpar. The lager was flat, the cocktails were watered down and undrinkable, and the sauces had a film on them. The meats were chewy and inedible, and the fruits and vegetables were either tinned or, in the case of the bananas and apples, bruised and rotten. Furthermore, the room we occupied lacked basic amenities and had several maintenance issues. There was no bath plug in the family room, the bed sheets were soiled, and the refrigerator door could not be fully opened due to obstructed floor tiles. Additionally, the fridge light was not functional, and the air conditioning malfunctioned, providing only hot air. This was particularly concerning as my daughter was experiencing a fever due to the food poisoning we encountered. With reference to the aforementioned issues communicated to the hotel management, it is regrettable that our holiday experience was repeatedly disrupted due to various complaints that necessitated frequent visits to the reception desk. In addition, the hotel attributed the illness to "the hot weather," despite the fact that it had been cloudy for three days and the temperature was 17 degrees Celsius. This explanation is unsatisfactory and does not address the true cause of the illness. The presence of a remote control with a missing back in a room with a toddler posed a safety hazard. The indoor pool was consistently cold due to open doors and windows, and the lager served at the hotel was consistently flat despite our repeated notifications to the staff. The overall food quality was poor, with sauces having a film on top and chewy meats. In summary, the hotel's practices and conditions fell well below acceptable standards, resulting in health risks and significant inconvenience for guestsI would not recommend this hotel and would rate it as a one-star establishment.
